You surely have fallen for an old good phone. Compared to recent Phones this phone doesn't stand along with them anymore. Please sell it off and buy a new phone. I Also Own an LG G2 And now i'm also looking forward to change it as i'm very dissapointed with LG because of infinite delay towards Software updates of Android.
Anonymous, 09 Jan 2016Hi, im looking for a budget phone that has quality display, good battery backup and great musi... moreNo doubts it's a good phone as i'm personally using it. Howeveras it's 2016 it's too old to make a puchase. Would suggest you to buy a new phone with a latest chipset and some more advanced features like Wireless charging,NFC,Quick Charging & some other advanced features. Moreover the LG G2 also have software limitations because it's not getting an upgrade after the 5.0 Lollipop which also have many Bugs. Reconsider your choices,if you have a good budget go for the NEXUS Device i.e 6P or else go with One Plus 2, ASUS & Several others.
I have upgraded my LG G2 to Marshmallow 6.0 and it is working super and I really love my LG G2. Now waiting for LG G5. Hope specs will be double so that it can beat upcoming S7..
All of a sudden, WiFi, bluetooth & hotspot stopped working...No use despite doingfactory reset..suspecting it to be missing of some system files..can anyone help me out by sharing system files please? or suggest if any other workaround..mail id - firstname.lastname@example.org
Version - G2 D802 lollipop 5.0.2
Build no - LRX22G
Software version - V30d-ESA-XX
Thanks in advance..

You just have to factory reset after updating and you're good to go.

zaks, 10 Jan 2016Is it advisable for me to download third party battery app like du battery saver for my lg g2?... more No no and NO! 99% of these apps do the exact opposite!
They disable apps but your phone will automaticly restart them most of the times.
That means it costs cpu time = battery to disable apps + it costs cpu time = battery to keep this battery app active which is the biggest drain + it costs cpu time = battery to reenable the disabled apps.
If your phone works correctly they will not use power anyway.
The only thing you can actualy save power on on your Phone are the following things:
- Disable gps when not using it.
- Disable mobile network data when at home.
- Disable bluetooth when not using it.
- Learn to live with lower brightness! (massive save as after gpu and gps its the nr1 drain!)
- Disable Syncing this can be a big save
This will stop the mail program from auto recieving mail but you can do this manualy by dragging the screen down anyway.
it will also stop the auto functions of some other apps like syncing to the cloud which can be a massive drain.
Disabling wifi when leaving home does save some battery but that amount is so small i would not bother as most likely the fact you might forget to enable when coming to a location with wifi costs you more battery then disabling will gain you (less then 1% a day on a correctly functioning G2).
So manage that things and stay away from these horrible battery apps.
Also battery calibration does not excist so stay away from those aswell those apps should be removed from the play store by google!
Do this and 7 hours screen on over 3 days should be easy as a medium user. a heavy user might get 6 hours a light used that doesnt use a lot of apps like me easely should get 8+ hours of screen on time with 72 hour standby.
My record is 10 hours 15 min over 4 days with just whatsap usage.

Pick whichever you like more, the differences aren't that drastic. Except for the Marshmallow update. Z3 is expected to receive it while the update for G2 is still unconfirmed.
zaks, 10 Jan 2016Is it advisable for me to download third party battery app like du battery saver for my lg g2?... moreMost of the what these battery savers do is killing unnecessary apps- thing you can do yourself easy enough.
Only some offer a bit more advacned services such as adjusting wakelocks etc, but you better read about it before you start meddling with such things.

Anonymous, 09 Jan 2016Hi, im looking for a budget phone that has quality display, good battery backup and great musi... moreThe music quality is acceptable but nothing to write home about. If you install and set up some enhancement software such as the Viper4android... that's a different story. I couldn't believe it's the same device.
