The only way to get 5.1 or even 6.0 as of now are the AOSP-based ROMs which tend to be somewhat barebone and the more gimmicky features such as the camera are usually pretty much horrid.
Okay. So i just installed Cloudy G2 3.3 and the latest version Dorimanx Kernel. So far so good. I like the new features, especially the dual window. That is definitely handy, but it will require few days of fiddling with the new dials. If you'd like, I could try to come back here after a few days and give more detailed report of what works, what does not and how well it fares against the stock build.

I hear the Cloudy G2 is a bit more powerhungry with stock Kernel, but many people then proceeded to install the Dorimanx Kernel and were reporting significant improvement in both performance and battery life.
lg user, 20 Oct 2015thanks my friend for the info . i have one more question and this is for u...Rim have u ever ... moreGive me a week or two and I might tell you. So no, not yet. I'm planning to try it on (fun fact- it uses those fine-tuned camera drivers I mentioned earlier) but so far I'm running on slightly modded and slimmed down stock with few Xposed gimmicks on top.
Well, as far as Cloudy G2 is concerned, it's based on the stock LG ROM with some G3&G4 functions ported over and with G4-style interface. So it should be relatively problem free, although you can always find someone having problems here and there.
The main downside I see is that the developer disappeared. No one has heard from him since early July. That effectively means that if there really are some bugs and improvements to be made, it's DIY for the time being. But luckily, the ROM is fairly popular so you just might run into somebody else with similar problem and find some workaround together.
Ozarkana, 20 Oct 2015My first LG G2 had a dead zone at the top so I couldn't do things unless I turned it sideways.... moresounds like your seller is taing the piss and selling a batch of broken or returned / refurbished devices.
Just return it again and possibly ask money back and buy elsewhere.
My first LG G2 had a dead zone at the top so I couldn't do things unless I turned it sideways. The second one (a replacement) was new but seems to have a mind of its own .. especially right after turning it on. Apps open and close by themselves, the phone starts to dial numbers, pictures appear, and all the time the vibrator is buzzing like it's possessed. I like the phone, but the quality control is lacking. Of all the smart phones I've had, none of them has ever acted crazy ;like this LG. In this case "Life's NOT Good".

if your really handy theres guides on youtube on how to fix it but your not gonna find origional replacement screens.
worst cast its not your digitizer (glass plate) thats broken but the motherboard in which cast you might aswell buy a new Phone if theres no warrantee.
On ebay you can get the screens from 25 euro and up but i doubt these are origional.
i bought one once formy 4x hd and it was a fake advertized as origional...
find a local repair shop and afk for a price and decide if its worth the repair.

The developer even released some fine-tuned drivers for the G2 camera if you feel adventurous and have the means (requires at least custom recovery for installation)

VAS, 17 Oct 2015Anyone who has uptaed to Lolipop please tell us about your experience. Tell us about Phone per... moreWell, that depends on your luck. For some people, update to Lollipop was painful and accompanied by a galore of bugs and problems. For some others however, the transition was seamless and the phone improved in most aspects.
I for example missed the KK feature where we could sweep apps aside and return to them later. This was removed as the Lollipop has its own "recent" windows feature which made the LG solution a bit superfluous. Apart from that, I can't really think of anything I miss. It is different, but not neccessarily superior or inferior.
Performance is a bit better but battery seems to go somewhat faster. But I don't think the real difference is that huge if you let the phone do its thing and optimise itself over time.
