ketu, 26 May 2015Shall I buy LG g2 or not???It depends.I bought mine for $600 when it's going for $137-$299 now.I wanted a simple phone,no battery changes,no fiddling with SD slot, very thin, quad core.Put a case on it and it's really a fast computer.Still using it after over 8 months and have no problems at all.I would buy another one and the battery is great in jellybean.I would run in jellybean(stock)instead of Lollipop to see the battery effects.Lasts all day and into the next day. Each upgrading OS means more battery drainage. So there were 3 upgrades.JellyBean or Lollipop ?
I don't know what happens to my lg g2 it started getting hot when i use it to call or receive. Anyone have had such experience what can I do?
Hi to all, is the 13mp camera of this LG G2 much worth compare to so-called '13mp' camera of an Optimus G?
I'm using LG G2 D802, the phone is great, the battery life is awesome on Kitkat, yesterday I have upgraded my phone to Lollipop 5.0.2 which is the latest android version for this model phone, the device works much better I love Lollipop and its features but what is worst for me is the battery life, it's draining very fast which is frustrating, after having this problem, it changes completely my concept about LG G2, I hope LG or Google will release an update soon to fix this problem, and right now I don't know what to do, I can't use this phone with this problem, the battery runs out fast even in stand by mode, I have done many things like factory reset, soft reset, turn off the phone for a few minutes before turning on to use again, it still didn't make any different, oh and one more thing, the heat, it generates more heat than when it's running Kitkat
ketu, 26 May 2015Shall I buy LG g2 or not???Why not? Its a nice set at around Rs 18k these days.
ketu, 26 May 2015Shall I buy LG g2 or not???Depends on the price in your country.
For me it was a phone that was priced some 20% over the midrange devices and offered hardware specs that were still VERY competitive against flagship devices of twice the price point.
At that point it had one of the best bang per buck ratios on the market.
So if your situation is similar, then... why not? It's still a powerful device, display is nice and vibrant, battery life can last well over two days of moderate use, it has decent camera with RAW capability, got official Android 5.0.2 update, there's fair share of developer community working on it and recently they released some pretty interesting custom ROMs running Android 5.1.1
What's not to love? The main disadvantages are unremovable battery and no SD card slot, but the phone supports OTG so you can plug-in a flash drive, external card reader and I've already seen one guy who succesfully used 1TB Western Digital HDD with the phone (but the juice coming through the micro USB is not sufficient, the drive had to be supported by auxiliary power source- another USB wired to the circuit)
