with all mass produced products, there will always be faulty models. I have been LG G3 D855 model for 3 years now no issues. Once you upgrade to marshmallow you get smooth performance & good battery life. If you playing games of course your battery will die quickly. For the price you get a flagship grade phone instead of buying a mid range with features missing.
The screen is not IPS.
It is not upgradeable to Android 6.0. (Major stability issues)
It has a micro SD card slot but does not support micro SD cards. (I'm not kidding.)
It does NOT have laser autofocus, i have no idea why everyone thinks it does.
It does not support WAV ringtones.
It does not have any FM radio. (Yes i have the D855 model)
It pretends it supports Qi wireless charging but even if it shows it's charging, it doesn't charge at all.
The battery does NOT last 19 hours. It lasts 1.
Also, the Basemark performance tests are fake. Here's the true tests:
Basemark OS II: 1013 / Basemark OS II 2.0: 1196
Basemark X: 9504.
I think it's ridicules that you can't place a indivual ringtone on the text notifications.
Whoever thought of that obviously does not know the use and fun of using that application.
You should do a update for this problem
im already stuck with it but dont do the same mistake as mine, this has to be the worst battery ever, already had to replace 2
Its battery life is very short and heating issue..
When we play 15 min. Video in u tube it will heat

i have had an lg3 for nearly 3 years, it has worked well, been pretty reliable, and the camera was impressive for the time. i always had difficulty with the gps but i dont think that was a problem with the phone.
do not buy lg g3 ..most of them get boot loop and you will have to change the motherboard that costs nearly as much as a new phone

Personally own the 32 gig/3 gig ram model, absolutely loved the display, camera, performance, leaps and bounds compared to the Lumia 635 I'd been using for a few years, though sadly my motherboard has pretty much quit, replacing it today, luckily found one from a broken phone for $20, selling it and changing brands after I complete the repair! Gave LG the benefit of the doubt even though many of my friends have been having serious issues with their G3's, G4's and G5's, almost made me late for an important interview as it bootlooped and my alarm didn't go off. LG's UI is one of my favorite Android skins and there's no denying that it's a beautiful design, but didn't get nearly enough mileage out of it for the money!
