Dear friends, please tell me about the front facing camera of this phone is it okay for taking selfies??
g3 has a little slowness with 16gb version because of the huge sreen with 801 cpu. i think it will be ok with the next update. a good phone and can compete still with 2016 smart phones.
im not excited coz no 4k video n by me screen is ultimate n wat strngers notices most
Micheal, 02 Feb 2016Thanks a lot my friend you are really helpful GOD bless you all who are helping each other....... moreAmong your choices, the M8 is the best choice! The camera is good enough, believe me..
Try choosing between a Z3 and a One M8. Don't forget that M8 is already on Marshmallow and was the best phone in 2014!
G5 user, 01 Feb 2016well friend i have a few questions for u ... do u like lg brnad....do u want a screen 5.5 inch... moreThanks a lot my friend you are really helpful GOD bless you all who are helping each other.... My friend I am not a brand conscious or a brand fanboy... I just want best phone among all available under my budget.i JUST WANT A SMARTPHONE with good
DESIGN & DURABILITY
PERFORMANCE( not hanging ,lagging e.t.c)
CAMERA (for 1080p recording and
DISPLAY ( For watching Movies)
DEVELOPER SUPPORT( so I always get updated ANDROID version custom rom)
Under my budget I can get XPERIA Z2,LG G3,LG G2,HTC ONE M8,GALAXY S5,S4,NOTE 3,HUAWEI P8 LITE
XPERIA Z2 (Everything is good but overheating and fragile glass means less durability)
GALAXY S5,NOTE 3 ( EVERY THING IS OK but HATE TOUCHWIZ & AMOLED BURN IN )I just pass LUMIA 1020 because of WINDOWS, AMOLED and no SD card option
LG G2( Design wise it is not as beautiful as Others are lIMHO.No SD card and a bit old now hard to find accessories like protectors e.t.c)
LG G3( nice phone but QUAD HD screen is a bit heavy for SD-801 and other issues)
HTC ONE M8 ( every thing is awesome but 4MP back camera are you kidding me HTC)
HUAWEI P8 LITE ( WITH OFFICIAL 1 YEAR WARRANTY BUT NO DELVER SUPPORT AND MID RANGE Hardware)
it is very confusing to me and hard to take decision...
SO MY FRIEND WHAT IS YOUR OPINION .... i KNOW YOU WILL THINKING THAT I AM INSANE but really I have ruin a lot of money in past on useless phones now I want to think 100 times to take decision about which one will be beter to price to performance ratio.... thanks again for your help man....GOD Bless you...:)
After seven months of use my D855 Portuguese version device is showing signs of almost 60% of its battery life than the battery life after one month of its usage. Lost confidence in going outdoors without its Battery charger........ ..what a nice Mobile device but with bad battery life. Any suggestions....
Micheal, 01 Feb 2016Thanks a lot for your time.... what about its heating temperature on normal usage like call,... moreDear Friend,
I have shared with you how I manage my phone. When using it for 2 to 3 hours on youtube watching videos, it did get warmer but not hot which for me is normal. Note that my phone is a genuine Lg G3 made in south korea. I'm not going to guest out on clone Lg phones. However, try to avoid damaging your battery and the battery charger. This is where every wrong thing starts. This will definitely allow you to keep your phone in good condition.
lg, 31 Jan 2016 correction in the (500 - 1000 cycle)( depending on the manufacturer 500-1000 times) and that means any charge up to 100 % counts ) - and one that does not reach 100 % does not count ( mean prolong battery life ,very simple ) , read what it says expert . dont make me laugh with this crap.... so it means that any battery not reaching 100% will be for ever and ever in the first cycle..... that it wont die because u will never reach the manufacture cycles ..... hahahahah hey guy u really trust all people say ....
Micheal, 01 Feb 2016Thanks a lot for your time.... what about its heating temperature on normal usage like call,... morewell friend i have a few questions for u ... do u like lg brnad....do u want a screen 5.5 inches or bigger .... because if that is the case lg g3 is for u... it has good features excellent camera and like some one said to u it was a flaghship device for 2014 ..... but there are a few point where the phone falls behind his old brother g2 ... i was in the same situation almost a year ago.... but i decided to choose the g2 u want to know why ... well ....... 1080p is good enough for a phone it is crisp enough for videos ,pictures, games. even the developer community agree with this.... the g2 screen has betetr contrast and brightness than g3.... it is 5.2 inches display perfect body to screen ratio even betetr than g4 in this aspect ...... camera is 13 mpx too for rear and 2.1 for front facing 1080p capables too..... g3 is faster focusing but just that ..regarding 4k recording we can enable it too but cost is rooting ur phone .... ram well unless u get the 32 gb wich comes with 3gb or ram then ull get the same than me 2 gb of ram... the g3 16gb version has that only but 2gb are still good to go trsut me i have never experinced any issue with my phone in this department..... memory well in G2 u must get the 32 gb version if u save too many pictures videos games....... if u dont break the barrier of 16 gb like some people then a G2 with 32 gb is good enough for u ..... performance u can compare it on youtube .. g3 vs g2 performance and u will notice that it runs way faster but no because the g2 processor is betetr it is simply because they have the same krait cores and gpu adreno 330 ..... sd 801 is overclocked a little bit but hard to notice since 2k screen tax a lot the performace ............ battery well this is the most inportant point .... G2 last longer than G3 has the same abtetry but having less screen size and resolution consumes less battery.... even my phone is always 50% and i dont have issues ... only enjoy the perfect contrast it has.....
g3 _ faster focusing,native 4k, 2k screen, 5.5,sd card ,removable battery
g2 _ more options in camera,4k just after rooting the device and installing xcam from xda, brighter screen, compact device, no sd card but 32 gb are good for me..... with a phone 100% charged u ll never miss a removable battery ....i use it for youtube 1080p streaming, music, casual games ,take pictures .......
now make ur decisoin buddy.
lg, 30 Jan 2016now you've got a name, to what you wrote was, blah ,blah, blah, everything you wrote is val... morethats something u care..... i dont care .... for how long have u been applying this method .... because my method is something that i have been using for years.. and i have never experienced any issues like drops / damage with my phones batteries ..... if u think that someone is smarter than other jut because posted something on a blog and not in a comment section like me .... how ignorant u are ... i see u are the kind of person who trust all kind of things on internet .... well yes maybe they are smarter than u .... they think for u and decide for u ...... anyway ..... my experince is open for any who wants to try it and even for those who know how it works..... in my case i dont let the battery reach 0% ... i leave it down to 5% and from then take to 100% and then a few minutes almost 15 minutes after the charge ... maybe because this battery is made different than the others my phone is a G2 by the way ..... i have tested taking it to 100% and from 100% and some minutes and i noticed a diffrenece ......then again it doesnt means overnight charge or leave it a lot of time there plugged in ....** no ** .... i care a bout long lasting battery not an ** infinite durable ** BLA BLA BLA they say battery works better from 50 % + .......... i dont think so ... sure u ll get use to keep ur phone charged with that practice and it wont die ..... they say something in that article and then say another thing ... they said keep the battery over 50% ..51+52+53 .... and never dropped below 20 so if i am 21% it is right .... according to them.... the only thing where i agree with then is dont let battry die i know that there are certain situations where this is inevitable ..but the norm is keep it on 5% and put it to 100% ....they say that li ion batteries doesnt have a memory like others then how come they know when u reach for example 300 cycles limit because it reached 100% ..... we need is to calibrate our batteries thats what really matters ... i have seen phones using the practice mentioned in that article and i can tell u doesnt last longer than mine plus .. discharge faster ..... mine last over 6 hours on screen from 5% to 100 again ..... now urs should have a lot of days surely in battery usage because the counter never resets ... surely blowing on screen time because counter never resets ..... woowwwww ..... best battery life ever ...... but then make a test ur self .... i supose u apply the rule for 50% and over ... do me a favor charge from 50% where u should have it to atleast 98% and tell me how many hours of on screen time u get with a mix usage of facebook app, wassp, and youtube video streaming in 1080p quality .... of course take a look on the battery usage .... and look at the time u have ... and by the way if u dont know what screen on time means ask to smarter people than u

Micheal, 31 Jan 2016Hi friend... I am Planing to buy this phone in next 2 days but somethings are holding me to bu... moreDear Friend,
If you wish to buy the LG G3 smart phone, go ahead. Note that it was LG Flagship not long ago.
Therefore with the current price tag and a flagship phone, it will be a good deal.
Some settings that need to be applied :
1. Outside, in the open air, when it's sunny, turn the Brightness auto to Yes. It will automatically adjust itself with the outside brightness. In my case I put the brightness to 49% as default value. When inside the room or building, I OFF the Brightness Auto and when outside I turn it to ON. It also depends on your eyesight. Try it. It works perfectly well. People wrongly complain about it.
2. Turn the wifi on only when required. This will allow you to save the battery.
3. Use the smart bulletin only you going out for jogging. It will be helpful. Else put it off.
4. Look well at the power outlet when you want to charge your phone. Higher voltage may slowly destroy your battery. In case of power cut remove you charger from the power outlet. In some cases power surge may destroy your battery. This is why I charge my phone when I'm awake or in the surroundings.
5. Always show the battery percentage on the status bar. When charging, when it's 100% charged, it gives an alarm. You may remove the charger from the power outlet. This will allow to keep your phone charger in good condition for long time.
6. Go to battery usage. Check if some apps are running in the backend and if they are not required stop them.
I have been using the LG G3 for more than 1 year without any issues. I can leave it without charging for almost 1.5 days. These are some basic requirements that need to be taken. At times expert advice does not work. Don't rely too much on them. For any issue go to youtube and look how to do proper setting. This is really very helpful.
