Fayzan, 30 Dec 2014Is 2Gb ram enough for g3....or should i opt 3gp version?Does it lagg on 2gb version?I'd advise to go the 3gb ram route simply to "future proof" your device. I have the 3GB version and on a day to day basis, I have easily 1 gb ram Free/Unused. Now you must understand that the way Android works, having Free RAM does not necessarily mean better performance and vice versa. So if you budget allows you to splurge on 3gb version, then go right ahead. Else you should be just fine on the 2gb as well.
SUDHAKAR, 30 Dec 2014Is it compulsory to do hard reset after upgrading to 5.0?.I wouldn't tag it Mandatory, although Highly Recommended will better suit the requirement here. I've updated with & without factory resets and have favourable outputs both the times. But with "MY" G3 in question, there were minor lag and heat issues that cropped up right after upgrading to LP. Post a Factory Reset however, all is well!! Hope this helps..
mitch, 30 Dec 2014how?Mitch. Connect your g3 to lg pc suite. Then go to software update. Idk if its already available via OTA. Just try to check, but i got mine via LG PC SUITE.
Fayzan, 30 Dec 2014Is 2Gb ram enough for g3....or should i opt 3gp version?Does it lagg on 2gb version?Minor lags. Some like to call it stutters. Im on the 2gb ram version. So maybe 3gb will be smoother. I hope a 3gb ram user can help u with their opinion.

U did hard reset first before upgrading? No I did hard reset after upgrade, as you know phone goes to factory settings and becomes like you just bought when you do hard reset, as I said earlier I haven't observed battery but the os is so fast and charming

Anonymous, 26 Dec 2014Look, you are just whining for nothing. There's no way G4 will be 4.7 or 5" screen so you... moreYou are absolutely right,i prefer bigger screen,i hope G4 will be at least 5.7".
I do watch movies all the time and browse web everyday on the moves,i can't live with a smaller screen,it's no longer feasible on today mobile world.
A mobile phone today is not just solely for voice communications,it also acts like your PC.
If LG goes reverse and shrinking the screen size, how it going to compete with other manufactures.
See yourself iphone+ is 5.5",apple used to have smaller screen,if they dont make it big this round, they will lose competition.
Hi to get lollipop is fairly simple...
What you need to do is go on LG's Website search for the product which is the D855 (LG G3), Click on product support and then click update software and drivers, download the USB driver and mobile support tool.
Or follow this link below to download them:
Then what you will need to do is open the support tool and plug in your phone via the USB port it will say your phone is eligble for an upgrade if you're currently running 4.4.2... the upgrade should be quite larger around 1gb or so, so it will take a while, click start upgrade.
DO NOT unplug your phone until it has finished (after all apps are optimised).
Then you are done and have lollipop 5.0. =)
