Anonymous, 14 Oct 2014R there any heat up issues with LG G3?/not that i've noticed in the month i've had it. it's an incredibly amazing phone.
This phone is awesome# But after 1 month of using i have experienced freezing 3x. Maybe because i haven't reset it yet after updating the firmware.
[deleted post]Hey I am planning to but this phone. Is there any heat up problem with it?
what is the difference between the LG G3 and LG flex in your opinion

Nope, No problem at all..
Lg G3 32 GB works perfectly..
AnonD-123749, 14 Oct 2014My G3 D855 32GB Gold version with h update, has no issues at all... I mostly take Pics/Camera/... moreWe want some heavy user to tell his experience without rooting it. I had rooted it too which decreased both problems. It was unbearable before..
What I noticed is when battery is full and phone is cold or somehow!! G3 works flawlessly but when some heat starts I start to notice some lags some black screen on calling even..,internet connection related problem as when data ON I see 4G in same location after some heating it turns to 2G then I turn off Data then ON again the 4G comes back, am still sitting in same location!!!! same problems seen when battery life starts decreasing like below 40-30%..
It's all about the damn 801 and battery!!!!
I have no real feedback on the Note 4 pros and cons but I believe Samsung had done a better job on it than LG on G3 and the release date was very close by 2 months only!!
It is actually sold some $200 more than the G3.
Many ignorant users will come out to describe me a Samsung troll but again regardless of any problem that note 4 users "may" encounter, just looking at specs, I believe Note 4 looks better.
Maybe LG wanted to be competitive to others in price by scarifying 805 for 801, 3200 to 3000 battery, and
MP's in primary and secondary camera, but at end this caused heating, lags and short battery life problems on heavy use.
I think pricing G3 (with the said new specs somehow similar to note 4) $100 less than Note 4 could had kept the competition in LG favor and they could had solved the heating and battery problems with this simple 805 and battery changes that I doubt both switches could had cost them !!!$100!!! above total cost!!
My G3 D855 32GB Gold version with h update, has no issues at all... I mostly take Pics/Camera/Wireless/gps etc. That's what i use mostly...Is rooted with stumproot and i have no problems with Battery and overheating..
IF i just use it as a phone diallign and accepting calls last 3 days + -.
If i use it heavy with net apps and videos etc last less than a day or something like all Smartphones...
That's my personal experiance..
Let me tell a secret about how LG could had easily made a Great G3 with same specs of the current.
LG must had inserted the Snapdragon 805 chipset instead of the 801. It is obvious that after sometime of using the device its performance decreases, surely only heavy users will notice that.
Moreover, LG must had inserted a bigger battery for such screen and new 805 chipset.
Not understood-able why they just raised it to 801 after inserting new technology on screen.
Also, why the 4.4.2 instead of the 4.4.4 (KitKat)??
Dudes, G3 heating problem that is a result for the short battery life is due to the new screen technology.
All the heat is actually coming out of it. It is normal when phone gets heated many problems will appear as several lags low hours on battery, internet cuts....etc
It does not have to do with some G3 have a hardware problem or similar!!! If that was true the heating and battery problems could not had lessen 70% after switch to ART, that is related to software.
It is a big shame for LG company to say that some G3 devices are infected and actually it's a big number as many forums reporting same problems of heating and battery.

Hello everyone let me know on this LGg3 Sonyz2 iPhone6 wich one is the best .
After several weeks of using this phone. I'm truly impressed with this phone. I came from Sony Xperia Z1 Compact and switched to LG G3 because of it's awesome design and display. Sadly I got a defective G3 and here are the problems I noticed on my 1st G3:
*It tends to heat very fast and heats up than it normally does, I can smell some burning parts. I just logged in my google account and after a few seconds, it heats up and have a notification of overheat that's why the phone is shutting down. I believe it's a hardware problem.
*Random restarts. Yes, really annoying.
Since my friend has G3 too, which doesn't have problems at all, wants to trade it for S5. So I decided to trade my phone instead for his S5 and I will be using his G3. And as I mentioned earlier, after weeks of using it, its superb. So I tried to maximize my usage on the phone to see if it has the same issue as my first G3:
*I downloaded N.O.V.A. 3, Modern combat 5, and other high end games like Batman: Arkhan origins. And to my surprise, it doesn't restart! It heats up normally the way it should. Not the heat that smells like something is burning inside.
*Played music for 8 hours, during my work using earphone. No problems.
*Watched videos on Youtube, just a warm feeling at the back, no restarts at all.
*Browsed the internet, no heat up, no restart.
*Antutu benchmark app makes my first G3 restart, but not on my 2nd.
*Really loud speaker, try it!
*Quad HD resolution? yep I'd still go for IPS display than amoled/retina. Though most of the apps doesn't support this resolution yet but at least it's future proof.
*Knock to wake/sleep. I'd still prefer this than the finger print scanner. There's knock code anyway, and it saves the power button at the back from being abused.
*Laser autofocus is great for fast focus of the subject. But I have to give it to the S5 for being the fastest one to auto focus.
*G3's design is great and premium looking, considering its made of plastic. If only Sammy stops using that ugly chrome at the side..
*5.5 inch display shouldn't be a problem to those people with small to medium hands like me. This phone is so compact and light. Try put G3 (5.5) with Xperia Z1 (5.0) side by side and you'll see what I mean. :)
*The Note lines are really great especially with the S-Pen but Sammy forgot one aspect of making a phone, ERGONOMICS. The curved back of the G3 makes it easy to hold it with one hand.
*Snapdragon 800 vs. Snapdragon 801.. not much of a difference.. it's only on the paper but with 3GB ram (32GB version) well, you'll have a smooth multitasking.
*Home button customization. Yes, you can have up to 5.
*IR blaster. Yes I use it as a remote. xperia doesn't have this option!
*A little bit sluggish. come on LG stop copying Touchwiz.. but using Nova launcher solves this one though you can't use the knock to sleep option.
*Battery life. Of course you have a quad hd resolution and that should answer the issue. Maybe if LG had beefed up the battery a little bit more despite having a 5.5 inch which was already big to fit a big battery in.
*S-Pen. Why no s-pen LG? it should have been the Note 3 killer or Note 4 as well. You have quick memo app and it should have s-pen as G3 is more on corporate aspect.
*Ugly stock messaging. I don't want to use Go SMS, I just want the stock messaging app.
*Ugly icons, come on LG I know you can do better than this!
Overall, im happy with my G3. LG did set the bars higher after they release this phone. Not to mention the "first" phone to have quad hd that is available internationally. This is their selling point and should compete with the other upcoming phones.
Let's not bash the phones as there's no perfect phone. Every thing has its flaws. USE it to know if there are issues on your phone.. and not to DSIPLAY it just to show off... it's not a car. If something unusual happens, return it to then and have a replacement.
Looking forward for LG G4.
