tido_tido, 05 Aug 2014why does it auto shut down ?? i have even asked LG technical experts but they have no clue/ide... morenot sure why it auto shut downs, but I've learned through experience that the best practice with smart phones for me at least has been to shut them off when I go to bed at night and let them fully recharge. I've never had an auto shut down issue....try it!
Never had the G2, but I currently own the G3 and with fairly heavy texting and calling and some surfing mine still has about 40% left and that's from turning it on at 8am and using during work and until I get home around 7:30pm. Oh and my wife just notified me that I had over 2000 text last month, so you see I text quite a bit...lol Overall I love this phone coming from the Galaxy S3 was a very easy switch, this phone is amazing!!
People who doesnt own a G3 always talk how bad the brightness of the screen is, I say they are just trolling. I always set my g3 to 40% brightness coz if its more than that, it will surely hurt my eyes. While its true if ur on direct sunlight legibility is not that good, it is better than others. Also, when u adjust it to a 80-100% brightness, most likely it will make things better. Yes you can adjust it even upto 100% even if its heating a bit. Do not believe what the trolls are telling you. I hope my posts will help people in their decision to buy the phone if youre planning too. Just cause others werent so lucky and receive a bad product, everything is bad. Thst is the reason why there is what we call a product warranty.
A month of using my g3...have not experience automatic shutdown (using dalvik & phone is still fast) most g3 that experience automatic shutdown use ART. ART is not yet stable yet or not optimise yet for use for g3. Battery life with regular use with lte or 4g on gives me a screen on time of at least 4 or more hours with 20% remaining, @ 40% brightness. Do not believe on what others are saying especially those who arent using the phone. Only experience heating issue when i played a game for over 30mins but heat is tolerable just the same to other phones if u use it heavily.
When the LG G2 came out it had a snapdragon 800 processor vs sgs4 and HTC one (m7) which had a 600. Now 2014 HTC one (m8) and sgs5 have 801 processor and they were ahead of the market. LG G3 has an 801 and it was late. Is LG G3 a flop?

I am thinking of purchasing an unlocked version of this phone for Telus, but all of the frequencies do not appear on the specs of this phone. Telus is set to 850/1900 HSPA / LTE AWS and 700/1700 MHZ. I am new to this whole thing. Would this model of phone work?
nick gould, 05 Aug 2014HTC one m8. I have not tried the other phones but I just don't see how they can perform better... moreIf specs don't make a phone, what does???
All phone companies know how to combine all features, we are not living in the 10th century dude!!

No heating issues,
Good battery life,
Smooth no lagging
Premium built quality.
Specs don't make a phone, it's how you tie everything together. These guys know how to optimise things. When an app is iddle for a certain amount of time it will be switched off.
