Does anyone know how to make 3G video call (not skype etc) from LG G3?. Does this phone have 3G video calling facility or not?.
well the g3 has been on sale for 1.5 month where i live (indonesia), and i know a few who've got one. some that has it shared to me these cons:
1.)it's damn huge. i agree with this. how dare for lg to call a 5.5 inch device still a "smartphone"? bullsh*t. it's a phablet now, you dummies
2.)it "lags" a bit to the point that it's quite noticeable.i vehemently agrees. all because of the biggest problem with the G3. THE SCREEN. when it's just released yes sure it's a wow factor. it fails to wow me, however. as a LG G2 and HTC One M7 owner i cant help but feel it's just a marginally sharper 1080p screen. And normal human eyes (unless you squint to the point your eyes hurt) couldn't discern pixels over 450ppi either. HD (or Retina, Apple-speak) is enough for most, and Full HD too. QHD is just too much. plus i cant see much wrong with the G2's excellent ips lcd 1080p screen either. never once i said to myself while browsing across the 5.2inch screen "y'know, this screen could do a bit more sharper". as if my One isn't sharp enough (at 468ppi, the sharpest Full HD screen). plus not so many apps supports QHD yet, so i ended up with some apps not displayed properly ( a bit blur)
3.)It sucks down battery. again, blame the damned screen on this. more pixels to be powered while retaining the same battery equals drop in endurance. using my (patent-pending)battery test (normal browsing, gaming, downloading apps, youtube streaming, fb and twitter & instagram , the lot)my G2 lasts for about half a day. My friend's new G3, however, 7-9 hours. actually 8 hours. be noted too i experienced quite a heat while using the G3. especially if it loses signal.
4.)(my thought)camera doesn't change. The G3's unit is basically the G2's, with added laser-focus tech. yes now the focus's faster (a problem on the G2) most of the time but picture-wise the results from both phones are the same. i'd like to see a rise in resolution here, or a new image chip. but this isn't so much a problem.
5.)the rear buttons are worse to use (in my opinion) than the G2's. they are smaller and has an unnatural curve, unlike the G2 (in an effort by LG to make it lay flat on the back, something the G2 can't)
other than that, the G3 is still a fantastic phone. the rest of it is brilliant, especially the much-improved UI. but the screen lets it down . it lags. it doesn't wow. it makes your phone lasts shorter. a step forward or back to the G2? You decide. for me it's a step back. full hd movies looked a bit blurred, and HD movies looks like displaying youtube at 480p full-screen mode on a 14inch HD screen (read:very blur). so you can't really enjoy it despite the nice 1W speaker at the back. thanks to a removable cover it feels less premium than the plastic unibody G2. the screen also made the G3 HUGE. those blessed/cursed with small hands wouldn't like it. you're better off with the Nexus 5, the 4.7inch upcoming iPhone 6, or the One M8. i dont blame you if you buy the G3 though. but all of it's shortcomings makes it vulnerable to attack from many sides. so thinks twice or thrice before buying it. personally i'd have the Sony Xperia Z2 than this thing.
oh, and whatever gimmick that LG said and no matter how you feel and see, IT'S STILL PLASTIC.

Parker, 28 Jul 2014That is a serious issue for me because I'd never buy the 32gb version since it has external me... moreI'm getting the 32gb model (ordered already). I really think it's dumb to call both the same G3, the 16gb version should've been more like a "mini" or "light version"
this is not the best handset now, the best is if the LG's factory is closed...and the last product will hav everyting you waant..so, don't by phone now....wait until the last product..... sory about that

Anonymous, 28 Jul 2014the 32gb model has 3gb of ram whereas the 16gb model only has 2gb of ram. It's like too differ... moreThat is a serious issue for me because I'd never buy the 32gb version since it has external memory so I can transfer all apps to external meaning 16gb is all I need.
So giving 2gb on the 16gb and 3gb on the 32gb when they both use the same SOC is pure greed and something Samsung has never done and is really up there with Apple levels of greed.
V, 25 Jul 2014Unfortunately, you got it wrong. This is not what I want to know. I know that 16GB or 32GB doe... morethe 32gb model has 3gb of ram whereas the 16gb model only has 2gb of ram. It's like too different phones that will have different performances

S . SUDHAKAR, 27 Jul 2014According to my usage pattern of my LG G3, this is the battery life :
Almost the same as no... moregetting it below 30K doesn't make sense. LG is a valued brand and to add to it, The phone is nearly perfect in every way. You can in no way price it near Nexus 5. This is way too superior.
I am the proud owner of a G3 (first 1500 pieces in India).
It is a 32 GB version. It is a bit laggy but only till the first update followed by a factory reset.. After that it is as smooth as butter..
I am in love with this phone..
I would like to mention that I upgraded from Note2.. And hence felt that it was a worthy upgrade..
However those who have snapdragon 800 based SoCs should wait for 805 and 810..
I just wanted to say that I am a bit disappointed by this handset. There are two main factors that leads to this:
- UI is a little bit too big for me... screen has a nice resolution but they scaled everything up, and I can see much less information on my screen than on average phone. This is especially irritating when you extend status bar... I can see only four notifications. In that case I would consider such a big resolution as a disadvantage rather than a plus - it just drains my battery and I have no gain (to watch movies, full hd is more than I need)
- believe it or not, but by default (maybe there are some trick and hacks) UI is laggy, and it is not 'hardly to notice'. It is really frustrating to wait 1-2 seconds to see Home screen after closing application like Calculator. Another thing is that default weather widget loads from scratch almost every time I come back to Home screen (first You see blank space, then loading indicator, and after around 3-4 seconds you see weather info).
When I compare this to Nexus 5 (or even Nexus 4) it seems it is much behind them. Of course it has some nice features (most important for me are: sd card support, infrared, fm radio), but most of the system's modifications are ruining Android experience. It seems I will stick to pure android and wait for Nexus 6 / silver line.
