geesedude, 29 Mar 2016Yeah, i didn't follow this particular set of instructions, but i got sick of waiting and just ... moreYep your right, I got sick of waiting, dec15, then Jan16, and so on.
These manufacturers don't get their consumers, give a firm date and stick to it. I like the G3, it's a great phone but LG have been terrible with this update roll out.
southafrica , 29 Mar 2016Everyone just complains and complains lets give credit to the lg g3 . i love this phone and it... moreAll softwares like firefox, youtube, typemail hang in G3 D855. Note 4 is infinite times better than G3 D855.
Anonymous, 29 Mar 2016If you don't want to wait for MM you can follow this tutorial. Works fine. http://www.droid... moreYeah, i didn't follow this particular set of instructions, but i got sick of waiting and just went and installed in on my own. I just don't get why it takes so long for carriers to roll it out. Frustrating.
The only issue I have with this phone is the overheating during gaming and heavy tasks. I do not experience any of the other problems stated here even the screen dimming under max brightness. I am on Lollipop V.5 and being using this device for about 14 months now. I think people expect too much from their phones now days that why so many complaints. If you want long battery life buy a phablet.

Has links to everything you need to flash the official MM ROM.

andesig, 24 Mar 2016Be careful what you wish for. I received MM update on my European international unlocked LG G3... morewell i have a G2 and dowload mode is something that i activate this way ... having the device powered off while it is .... on mine i press only the up volume key and plug the device to the computer then download mode appears on screen ..... i dont know if for G3 the key is the same or mabe down volume key but try this method and flash a rom on it.
Great phone overall, feels solid, looks great, nice features, and the UI is as good as others - more sophisticated than TouchWiz, not as much of an overhaul as Sense (HTC)
Theres some flaws though I wanted to highlight, the hot screen and a sim card flaw
The QHD screen gets hot, if you're using it out in the sun you will need full brightness and this will mean in 30-50 minutes it will shut down due to the heat.
Seems to be a design fault in my opinion with a nub on the back of the case that holds the memory card in place - too many hard drops (even a low level drop when placing on a table) it pushes this nub into the sim tray so it starts to have problems - replacement phone is recommended rather than fixing as its soldered to the motherboard
I will be getting the LG G3 this week. I just want to ask about the camera (both front and rear), and about the battery life. I am an average user. Safe to say that, there is nothing that would discourage me from getting this phone. I have the samsung note 3 which is unsurprisingly not bad for its spec but has underwhelm in its general performance.
