AnonD-689144, 02 Aug 2017worst incident with such mobile in my whole lifeGood day Sir.... to ask you as I am getting a 2nd hand phone. I don't know which to buy some say Sony Xperia Z3 some say Samsung S5, and even recommend S6 and S7. i am tight budget and so far i see LG G3 is affordable. Can you suggest? Of cause I will not hold you responsible. My budget I have option to go for Samsung S4 or smasung 5 sony Z3 HTC One M8 or LG G3. Or maybe anyone can rank them as 1st, 2nd and so on for these 4 models Z3 Samsung S5 HTC one m8 and Lg g3
AnonD-474968, 05 Jul 2017I do have these two majors problems too. I get so angry when the battery fastly drains. Also w... moreI bought four LG G3s to my family in July 2015. We all have loved the superb pic and screen quality. Personally I like the colours the camera creates. They are natural and include pure grey shades instead of the yellowish pics of Samsung and other brands.
During this year one G3 started to over heat and another went crazy with a new sim. Battery life is short but is managed by carrying the charger with you everywhere. Many find this difficult, I dont. I have never understood people who complain they have a flat battery. This is a sign of laziness in my view. G3 has also a replaceble battery. When travelling I carry 2 loaded extra batteries with ne. They weigh just nothing.
G3 was a great device. If it lasts 2 years that is sufficient. In practice one has to buy a new phone anyways because of new performance requirements and capabilities. And I want a bigger screen and dual sim feature now.
I have D855 -32 GB model and using it for more than 2.5 years .I have not faced any issue so far neither network nor screen fading or flickering etc The battery usage is slightly disappointing however after Android 6 update I get one day life of battery on moderate usage
I backup my data and reset the phone every 6 months once so that I get the fresh feel of the phone
I am fully convinced even today the phone is the best one in the LG range of phone

My LG G3 D855 phine became IMEI null when I chose restore upgrade errors option in LG PC suite. I have disposed LG and I am using the monster Samsung Note 4 SM-N910G and happy with it.
With grim and pale heart, i am writing my experiences with LG G3, the model which unnecessarily got too much of attention and hype due to wrong advertising campaign by LG.The laser guided camera sharpness is just crap, and pics taken still resemble 2 MP photos. The main drawback is that the screen flickers and fades away, and no one can fix it.There is connector problem that connects screen with the motherboard. Secondly most of the time, there will be no network coverage. The only plus point is the beautiful 2k screen, but it is not usable, as phone design does not let you use the screen. Very sooner, the fading, flickering etc.starts.When someone buys this, I can guess, he must have been extensively impressed by the specs.but the fate is common to all. How sad it feels when the mobile screen starts to flicker, and suddenly becomes blank.
I have version D855,no signal(network) i tried with other SIM cards,flashed Stock Rom,modem,from Xda.What to do?Help.
I do not want to go to service..unless i have no option.

The first year was great, but after that i started experiencing the boot-loping issue. I solved that problem by replacing the battery. Some weeks ago, the screen started fading and flickering - and from what i see in the forums is the beginning of the end for the device. I can tell that 80% of G3 onwers i know have had at least one of my problems. This shows there are definitely some design issues with this phone. Perhaps I will give LG G6 a try, but I am not quite sure if LG has addressed all these problems...
The device was all great for around 2 years and I didn't even consider to change the phone soon , but a couple of days ago the screen flickered and faded to black, It seems to light up for a moment and then fades again. I saw similar complaints on reddit and youtube and I know I am not the only one but it's a huge disappointment and still don't know if it worth the motherboard fix.
have had my g3 for bout 2 yrs and today i was watching a vid then screen went blue and i cant get any power to it...not sure why burt phone is dead...
thanks for this review.
i own this phone for more than a year,
and i love it except that its battery it disasterous !!!
i can't describe how awefull it is to get stuck with battery,
even when not using anything special .
nevertheless LG has done a great job with it's performance, and friendlyness, can run a few apps parallel (not too much of course)
camera is poor, slow and photos are just good.
I had a Gold LG G3 and it looked so elegant, the camera is absolutly superb (i took some pictures so awesome that people thought i took the photos with a camera with special lens)...the only problem was the overheat, specially if you use the phone while charging it, i did this so much and now the screen went black (i've read that this happens because the processor pins were desoldered)...other than that, the quad hd screen is great to watch full hd movies
