can somebody write a review based on his experience for like months or a year of usage? cause some people say that the first 2weeks-month are usually okay then the phone turns to be a piece of crap i would like to know if its true, thanks.
I am Happy with the device itself. very responsive and Camera is superb..
Guys how common does the bootlooping issue happens? And what r the reasons for that? And can it be fixed by anyway?
I am lucky to have the model g4 h818 dual sim because ultimately after 6.0 update no problem no issues at all fully functional the whole system including the installation of new apps from playstore everything was doing fine. So greatful to have this model incomparable to other g4 models that seem they have plenty of problems after the upgrade. Whooo thanks to you Lord.

But how common does the bootlooping issue happens to people out there? Or what r the reasons?
I just bought myself an LG G4 phone after I saw an LG agent demonstrating its camera capabilities. I must say I was impressed with its responses to a variety of hand/finger commands without necessarily touching the screen. This included zooming the target object, shifting and adjusting the image on the camera focus etc. Now I'm disappointed because I don't seem to be able to do that. To make matters even worse, I cannot find the user manual in the package. It just means that there are many features that I cannot enjoy and do not even know they exist.
Can someone assist?
I have an H812 variant. (Canadian)
First and foremost - DO NOT UPGRADE TO MARSHMALLOW (Android 6.0)
The latest update overdrives the GPU and I think the Android battery saving features conflicts with the LG battery saving features.
I find the phone run HOT and drains the battery super fast with Marshmallow. (Especially when running games)
Just passive (on Airplane mode) and forcing close all APPs and Stopping all APPs running under "Battery and Power" in the settings menu, screen brightness at 75%, the phone would drain at about 7% to 10% every hour.
I downgraded by flashing Android 5.1 (Lollipop) and the phone runs cool again. No battery drain issues. I would have the battery sit above 95% before lunch time and that's not even on Airplane mode.
So trust me when I say, DO NOT UPGRADE TO MARSHMALLOW with this phone. It makes the phone worst. Keep it at Lollipop.
Youssef zamzam, 29 Mar 2016Okay guys.. Can somebody please write a comment about the cons of the lg g4 based on his exper... moreThe only possible glitch you can find , is this boot loop stuff some people get into , but the issue can be resolved with hard reset. This can be a possible software issue , lg will fix, but it doesn't happen to everyone. Other than that, battery life is average, considering that you get a 2K screen. Screen-on-time can be about 4 to 5 hours , depending on your usage. If you can call this a drawback, you name it :)
Other than that the phone is smooth at everything you do. If you get a phone which has android 5.1 in it, you can instantly update to android 6, but after doing so, you must do a factory reset , to make the things better. If it's already on 6, you can set it up from the beggining. Everything is fine, camera is really nice, UI is average (I don't like LG's UI), and phone call quality is excellent. Sound from its speaker is loud, but not crystal clear. Not bad either (I am nearly satisfied). One good thing is that you can place the onscreen buttons whenever you like (you can reposition them , or add more buttons). You can adjust screen colours , you can do practically everything. There's no fingerprint scanner, or quickcharger (but I think it supports Qualcomm's Quickcharge 2.0). And that's all I can think of right now, hope that helped.
Aristocrat, 29 Mar 2016Yes my phone got into bootloop last night and now i am stuck as there is no repair facility hereDo a hard reset. Pressing vol down and power key simultaneously and a menu will pop up. It will tell you can hard reset. This will power up your phone after it finishes but everything will be deleted. After that try NOT resetting your phone contacts or/and apps from google, and not directly to connect to any wifi networks. Do this AFTER you set up your phone as new. This maybe will work.
Okay guys.. Can somebody please write a comment about the cons of the lg g4 based on his experience? and I really wanna know all the bad things about it and I don't wanna know about the design or whatever I wanna know about the software or if there's any glitchs or whatever.. and if he would recommend me to buy it or not .. Thanks. :)

Anonymous, 28 Mar 2016+1 waiting for reply from g4 users plz See you are running a quadhd display so dont bother about the battery life. I updated to marshmallow and things are very good in the battery dept due to the doze feature. I use a jabra storm bluetooth all day with my g4 & my celluar data on most of the time and along with some moderate usage it lasts me a day. But at the end of day it will less than 20% battery. This is a good phone and if battery matters all that to you, i suggest u get a spare battery along with lg battery cradle or a powerbank or you and buy a 3rd party bigger capacity battery from zerolemon(8500mAh) or mugen(6200mAh). Obviously these battery will imcrease the thickness of your phone but it will solve your battery issue for sure. Reviews of these batteries suggest that they will easily provide 2days backup with heavy usage, but they will take almost 6hrs to charge. So i hope i have made it simple for you to choose..its all about what u prefer
If you set this up right, you can get the best out of your battery. Let alone it's removable, and that's convenient for the most people out there!
You got definitely 4 hours sot.
I got my brightness to auto (works well) , and I don't much play games.
I have WiFi always on. Sync on. And I change to 4G/3G just whenever I want (I have the option "only gsm" , for better signal reception). So that's the way I get always more than 4h sot. I got 5h 15m sometimes, while my battery is at 5% . But I don't really care, as I charge it when it drops to 15%. In android 6.0 it also have outstanding performance idling (when screen is off). Over 8 hours and I got no more than 1% battery loss!!! The phone is also butter smooth.
To be honest, the bootloop problem , is so overstated, that I cannot understand. And it's not a hardware issue any more, as the first parts of it were replaced. It seems like it is software that can be resolved. Many statements refer to reseting the phone from google, makes it cause boot loop. Just like changing instantly from wifi to 4G. Strangely, i have done the above, and no problems occured. It's a hit&miss thing, and I believe LG will fix it soon enough. I will e-mail them really soon to ask if they plan an update.
Thanx for reading

Guys I'm thinking of getting this phone but my biggest concern is battery as everybody complains about it but I don't actually want the best battery .. Would it last the whole day with mobile cellular data on on about 60% brightness maybe 4-5 Screen on time..? Would it continue through the day? Or how long would it last on mobile data and about 60% brightness? Thanks.
