Leather back, DSLR type camera controls with aperture F1.8 which is good for low-light photography was the deciding factor for me to buy this phone. Unfortunately, despite the nice user interface and a decent array of swappable accessories, the bootloop issue that started it all was the cause of LG's steady decline.

I can't figure what sim provider to use. I put an att prepaid sim but they said it wasn't compatible although online it says a gsm providers are compatible. Not sure what to do. Please help

Great screen, microsd, audio jack, irda, fm radio, good camera... I'm very satisfied despite the silly critics. I have upgraded to android 7.0 Nougat. It's official from LG but not distributed through the automatic internal update tool. You must look for it on the web and install with LGUP software. Very easy, a 10 munites job

Hello! I've had this phone since 2016 and I don't want to give it up, I bought a new battery a few days ago and I'm determined to use it for a while longer. Unfortunately, the software update remained at Android 6, I saw that an Android 9 Pie version appeared in the meantime, has anyone done the update? Are there problems with the camera quality that would decrease? Are there any problems with the connections, mirroring, hotspot, etc.?

My G4 still lives, even when he get wet some years ago. The screen were badly damage, so I replace it and now I have him as a backup device.
Which ROM you recommend to use? I need to unlock bootloader first and then install a costum recovery right?

It's now late February, 2023. My G4 is still working well. Yes, it has the reboot issue years ago but LG fixed it for free and have never had any problems since then.
I am on my 3rd battey, and yes, it's limited compared to today's phones, but I get acceptable battery life, then simply hook up the charger and it gets a full charge in about 30 minutes.
I have taken hundreds of photos and their quality is quite good and I have no complaints. I don't need 3 cameras. This one is just fine.
I added a 128gb SanDisc memory card several years ago.
I don't do games. I scan the web, read many news articles, exchange emails and texts, and talk on the phone.
At some point the phone will crash and I will then be forced to replace it. That fact concerns me because of the high prices of phones, many of which are overrated.
It's sad that LG exited the cell phone market.

Mir, 21 Apr 2021Malfunctioning arises only using 4 months. Not really satisfied after using this i like the phone even now but it stops working all of a sudden , but i still love it camera smart remote app yooh i love it
