I bought mine in last august and now it's broken apparently LG G4's "sickness" is motherboard.

mine had the same problem. moved everything to a backup device and thigs got back to normal state.
THIS phone sucks have issues and the loop issue that killing the phone i dont recoment u to buy anything of this brand i have the LG G4 7 months and the motherboard is dead and the service cant fix it

The phone was near perfect the first few months but as time went on it got quite laggy but that is to be expected with mainstream technology unfortunately. Then about seven months of owning the phone it became completely unresponsive for no apparent reason one morning. I don't charge overnight, it has never met water, and it has never been dropped. I tried a force restart once and it brought me to the booting screen and it seemed like it was going to turn on but in the middle of rebooting it returned to its unresponsive state once again. I connected it to my laptop with a USB cable and the laptop made the noise it usually makes when a device is connected, but the computer itself did not show that the phone was connected. I didn't bother to back up much data or stored music or anything because it seemed like a very reliable phone at the time. I am completely dumbfounded and disappointed by this major defect on such a praised phone.

it started when i got a backup battery, used it for couple of hours.
then the phone went into bootloop and couldn't get it to work ever since.
I gave it to a repair center, they tried to fix it but couldn't. when they gave it back, i tried couple of times and then the phone switched on and i got that error message,
I'm able to use the phone for maybe 2 minutes and then the phone switches off and tries to boot, but remaining in the gray screen(black screen).
I gave the phone to the LG company for repairs and they said they have to replace the motherboard( which i think they dont know how to fix it so they want to do that).
The motherboard itself costs like 70% of a new G4 so I didnt want to do so.
My question is what may have caused this? Because it all happened i tried replacing batteries and started. how can i get my phone to install es file explorer and work with it in download mode if the phone it self wont switch on properly? I can try to install the file explorer during those rare times where the phone will switch on,
But like i said the phone will be usable for 2 or 3 minutes.
When the phone is completely shut off, And when i plug the charger, the phone tries to boot up instead of charging it without booting (showing the battery icon and percentage)
And if i try to leave it like that for few minutes the phone and battery heats up.
I tried to do a hard reset (holding power+volume key thing) sometimes it will go maybe half way and the phone will freeze, or as i select the hard reset option the phone will freeze and back to the black screen.

any help and advice would be highly appreciated.

Single sim is better than the Dual one . And LG`s mobile phones are manufactured In Korea . LG G4 dual sim`s battery timing is`nt good as compared to LG G4

1. HTC one M9
2. LG G4
3. Xiaomi Note 3 Pro (3GB RAM)
Hi. Just an opinion from you guys. I bought 2 days ago from an online store in my country (Portugal) an lG G4 H815 and received today an LG G4 H81P (dual sim). Should I return it, they are the same, or what? Will the LTE bands be the same here in Portugal/Europe? I prefer the single sim H815, but here the dual sim H818P is a little more expensive...
One thing I noticed is that the box says "made in China" and almost all the H815 Isaw werw made in Korea...
What would you guys do?

Was happy with my phones looks so nice but not even 6 months in it just stayed on the logo took it in to repair or replace and , 21 days later has to be replaced . this has a boot problem they should take them off the market , not worth it .
Boot Loop has turned my phone into a brick! Had it for 13 mths, so no warranty help.
I have my g4 for 6 month by now. No issues at all. Battery life is amazing. The only downsize is that is to big. I liked my S4 but the battery life was awful to say the least.

The measure of a company is in how they treat the customer when they have knowingly sold a product with a manufacturing fault. All companies make errors, but it is how they rectify known mistakes determines customer satisfaction. For me, high customer satisfaction is paramount for customer confidence and retention. With the G4, LG admitted selling a faulty product but only offer a warranty repair!! My LG G4 developed the bootloop fault recently and was a month out of warranty. I was told they would not replace and may CONSIDER a repair!!!. I need my phone for day to day use and have been forced to purchase a new (NON-LG) phone as a result of this. This is a severe failing by LG and ranks as very low service. This will certainly influence me on whether I buy another LG product.

Got from the Approved LG Europe Service, an S6 (Samsung) after they confirmed me that it's too bricked to repair it... G4(dual version) bought in Octomber 2015, died in June. Good luck to the others! My friend "lost" his G4 a week earlier. Troll, yeah right. You're paid by LG to make us look like trolls. Truth is Truth!
