I recently experienced a bug where my screen went out. Knock on or pushing the button, i could see the backlight, but the operating system was gone, just a blank screen. Touching the screen i could hear sounds. Removing the battery and restarting fixed it. Kind of a nasty bug. Hopefully LG fixes
Anonymous, 11 Jun 2015The bottom line is, if you don't play graphic intensive games, you don't use phone camera that... moreZenfone 2 has bugs right out of the box and has the dimmest screen you've ever seen.I know I had one
I bought it last week. Its great for some things but not that great for other thing. Its really precise when texting unlike my previous Galaxy S3 that would type 3 letters at the same time due to the keyboard being so small. Its great to have a big screen with a pen for added precision but the screen resolution is only 720p and it shows. Not the clearest of colors when compared side by side with a normal S3 which has much better contrast. The other thing is the camera... come on... every time I take a picture it looks like a fresco painting. I don't know how to get rid of this annoying fresco filter... or if its stock with the camera... its terrible. Besides that, it has some neat features like double tap to turn on the screen. The phone feels very well built not too heavy not too light just perfect. The size is good somewhat of a mini tablet. The buttons on the backside of the phone are well positioned. I recommend this phone if you have big hands.
The camera really isn't that bad. If you're taking a picture in low light conditions from far away, the picture will come out grainy. In any other setting it's above average. Not as good as the G4 obviously, but better than other phones in its class. I realized that a lot of times the photos are out of focus (that's probably why people are saying the camera is bad) so I always touch the screen to focus on the subject before taking a picture.
The bottom line is, if you don't play graphic intensive games, you don't use phone camera that much, just for social network. It is a great phone. Are you really using the stylus? For 2/3 the price tag at $199, the Asus Zenfone 2 does all above with higher 1080p screen, and a lot better cameras.
Just got mine yesterday.and its got the WOW factor.it compliments my 2 note 3s,this is a Beast of a phone.well done LG :-)
Ive had this phone for 3 days. I have the tmobile version. I think its awesome. The screen is very vibrant, and the phone is very responsive with the 2gb of ram. One of the major selling points for me was the included stylus. Ive always hated my screen getting smudged with fingerprints. No more with the stylus! Love it. The phone is very high quality, and i plan on getting the folio case for it.
Don't be fooled by the camera spec. The only "same" are the 13M and laser focus). The image quality of LG G Stylo is so bad comparing with other G series LG G2, G3, G4.
Exactly, at least its camera(s). Its camera(s) and camera app are nothing close to the other G series, the G2, G3 or G4.
Anonymous, 03 Jun 2015Is it true that the "LG G Stylo" camera app can only change the aspect ratio (16:9/4... moreIts camera app only offers aspect ratios: 16:9/4:3/1:1. No size selections. Only two modes: HDR, and Panorama. So-so image quality with noise at low-light conditions. Aperture: f/2.4. Fast laser focus. Don't buy this phone for its camera(s).
Jared, 01 Jun 2015no big improvement over G3 Stylus. and the heck with 1gb ram. Is it true that the "LG G Stylo" camera app can only change the aspect ratio (16:9/4:3/1:1), and cannot change the image sizes for taking photos?
Someone said,... its built-in camera app does not offer option for taking photos at different sizes. It always uses full 13M resolution, and it only offers aspect ratio at 16:9/4:3/1:1, but not the sizes. Is it true? How about video taking, can it recording at different sizes?
Anonymous, 30 May 2015It still does not say the aperture of the camera.i think its f 2.4 if not 2.0 but most midrange phone now are using f2.0 like Huawie honor 4x
