LG Android

Just a few hours ago, LG announced two new mid-range devices - the LG G4 Stylus and G4c. Both take after the design of the company's current flagship and aim to deliver a similar experience in a mid-range price frame.

Such devices are immensely important for advancing the company's market positions, as the mass mid-range market is what usually brings in the big revenues. The larger G4 Stylus has been listed at €349, whereas, the smaller G4c will set you back €249. Both price tags are quite reasonable and the handsets really come packing a lot of potential.

The LG G Stylus has been around for some time now in Korea and North America, under the name G Stylo, so we already pretty familiar with it. The device comes in two flavors - with 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU and 4G LTE support or a 1.4 GHz octa-core CPU limited to 3G networks. It is a little bit larger than the LG G4 and features a 5.7” 720p display. The two versions also use different cameras. The LTE one packs a 13MP main shooter, while the 3G only model has 8MP. The front-facing camera in both is 5MP and RAM is limited to 1GB.

Other features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS. Laser Auto Focus and Gesture shot are also thrown in the mix. The phablet measures 9.6 mm thick, weighs 163g and packs a 3,000 mAh removable battery.

The G4c, on the other hand, is slightly smaller than its flagship sibling. It has a 5.0-inch 720p display and runs on a 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU. RAM is once again set at 1GB. The camera is an 8MP model and the phone is 10.2 mm thick and weighs 136 grams including the 2,540 mAh removable battery.

Both handsets run Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box, along with LG's colorful UX 4.0 on top.

LG, this is 2015, not 2013... You put adverts on local newspaper promoting mid range devices along with your flagship but your mid rangers have barely progressed coupled with same pricing. I say it ridiculous.
