Quick review after a week:

Very fast, no lag
Very good auto focus on camera
Wide angle mode on camera is excellent although you get fish eye effect at edges, hopefully LG or Adobe release a fix?
Screen offers realistic colours but is not as bright outdoors as my previous phones (Note 4, Moto X 2nd gen etc)
So so battery life so I keep charger in bag.
USB-C is great as is fast charging.
Camera photos are sharp but look like those from a Sony camera, a bit mushy on closeup. Prefer Samsung images TBH!
Manual camera controls very flexible.
Ability to add controls (such as notifications panel toggle) to main nav strip is v useful. Unique to LG.
Fingerprint login is great.
Miss rear volume controls of my G3 but I guess that is to avoid accidental activation fingerprint login? (Only requires a touch)
FM Radio a nice bonus, didnt know G5 had one!
Not tried 4K video yet.
Call quality much improved since LG software update.
Signal reception way better than my last few phones. For a metal phone, v clever.
No crashes etc yet.
Have inserted a 64GB microSD card for extra memory if travelling away from connectivity for cloud upload of photos etc.
Not a very pretty phone and I doubt I will use Friends modules. Case it if you don't like design, like I have.
Miss wireless charging, had a wireless back on Note 4, and had a G3 once too.
Am waiting for Note 7, but if I can work out how to improve camera images may keep G5.
G5 is starting to fall to £400 here in UK (Vodafone & online) so is now very good value for such a well specified 32GB device!

It is normal design phone when I see it on photos. Now I have it.But it is really beautiful design phone. It design better than galaxy s7(not s7 edge). S7's beauty is that edge screen only.

need advice, want to buy g5 but what's with overheating issues that somebody mentioned here and with signal loss and hanging up in the middle of the call? i have that troubles with lenovo so don't want the same thing again...thank you

Nice phone. Totally pleased with it. I had a deal impossible to refuse when deciding which phone to get, but turned out to be very happy with the thing. No regrets whatsoever. Waiting for Rolling Bot now.

... moreWell, the Cam plus can charge the phone while having in in "sleep mode". The cam plus also have speaker built in, and can be charged alone without having the module on the phone.

This phone is literally a piece of shit. I got the phone bc of the reviews and rating but I feel like maybe I just got a bad phone? MY LG G5 IS GARBAGE! I've had the phone less than 30 days and I upgraded from the G4 to the G5. In 16 days my phone has reset itself, the fingerprint scanner on the back doesn't work. I no longer have the ability to lock my phone. It hangs up phone calls. I don't have the ability to multi-task without it restarting itself and then when I try to restart it myself it won't come back on. Highly recommend not getting this phone. I contacted verizon about possibly getting my G4 back & they said I had a 14 day limit and of course I called them 2 days too late. At the end of this contract, I don't know if I will be renewing with Verizon unless they can fix this.

Really like the features the phone has, but it loses signal and drops calls ALOT. Previously had a blackberry that dropped maybe 2 calls in 2 years. This LG phone loses signal twice per call it seems. Very irritating

But if LG G5 could have 2 dedicated SIM slots and 1 dedicated slot for memory card and Battery would have been 4000, it would be popular hit..I hope in coming phone they would accommodate all above features to satisfy customers..

yes--- no reason to have the micro sd outside to remove it easily in addition to the dual sim cards. Plenty of space to add ext on the bottom. Maybe next time in addition to a mini hdmi out plug.

The RS988 (unlocked) doesn't seem to have the FM radio. I read that other models don't have it either. It would be good to clarify which do and which do not....

I bought an international LG G4 (H815) from an authorized shop.
After 6 months the phone stopped working, so I sent the phone to LG repair.
LG recognized the warranty but they told me they cannot repair it as a H815 beacuse they do not have the parts - so they need to downgrade it to a H810.
This is absolutely insane
Reliablilty and service are fundamental aspects of a product.
LG is very very bad at it.
