Anonymous, 31 May 2016No one is bashing this phone dude, great phone except its crappy screen which looks like some ... moreagain the screen of G5 is not crappy it is designed to behave just like it use to be...it is not designed for you, it just you who cannot move on because of whatever intention you are implying to...however we got your point, you dont like it, and we do not care..as we love the screen. buy anything you want, it is your choice but given the chance to buy myself a flagship phone, i still buy G5, not just one but three...

G5 is no where near the quality of current generation Super Amoled.

G5 is one of the perfect phone in the market... But its price is not competitive ...

I know about the issues but and there is a big but, non of the issues affect the latest SAMOLED (S7 & S7 Edge). Regarding the color, use basic profile and there you go, fully calibrated sRGB panel in your hands - can't say that about G5's screen.

And regarding th... moreI am well aware of the amoled screens. i have had multiple phones with different generation AMOLED screens, however I find that AMOLED screens seem to have very high saturation, they are bright, however they look more or less cartoonish.
But most notably, nearly all AMOLED screens have had greying issues and also has yellowing of the white colour when under fluorescent light.

Try to compare it with Sony or Samsung devices. And regarding the screen, well as I already mentioned, just try to compared it with the latest generation of SAMOLEDS, you will understand then...

Anonymous, 30 May 2016By choosing to ignore the reality you won't help others and you certainly won't help LG's mobi... moreMight just be me, but I have 0 problems with my G5, brightness has no drop, I have no screen bleed and the bottom "dock" part aligns super smooth, even forcing it, it does not create a noticable gap.
I have the 860n model in gold.
Also just for anyone wanting to know, listening to music for 6hrs also net surfing for 2 hrs, the "screen on" function active and enabled google maps tracking (high accuracy GPS) the entire day from 04:40 until 21:30 I ended up having 3% battery left.
Not too bad actually.

I know enough people who bought this phone just to return it after a few days and every time the reason was the same - G5's horrible screen.

[deleted post]well, i thank LG for making this algorithm on G5, LG did this to protect the phone but nevertheless, the display is not short of being spectacular...who cares about anands review and who paid them to make such review on the screen.. very unfair review...
