Pros: Quality, Features/Settings, Easy To Use, Perfor... moreGreat stuff. can either sim be bused for phone/data and swapped indepdently. I can have one set to data only for tethering and one for phone alone ?
2. is the contacts seperate per SIM. I''d assume so like all past phones; even those $5.00 Nokias.
3. The GAllery or photos are global per the phone and not per the SIM ?
Lg g5 , Galaxy s7 edge or Htc 10
Which on i should go for end of this month..
Removable battery on the flagship. Excellence one LG.
My HTC One M7's battery now swollen for the second times.
I live in a tropical country and play games much.
A better criticism for those who dislike the G5, apparently LG isn't being that friendly about unlocking the bootloader. Apparently they will for the H850 (European model), but none of the other models are confirmed to have unlockable bootloaders. The H830 (T-Mobile) has a pseudo unlockable bootloader, but there is extra security that LG hasn't revealed. I'm wondering about the H860 (dual-SIM), but nothing confirmed yet.

Has LG got it right with their new LG G5 design? I thinks so.
After much talk about the new modular design of the G5, I can say for myself as a NEW OWNER, that LG have got it right.
I'm off contract and I purchased a G5 Titan sim free. at £529 that came with free LG B&O H3 in-ear headphones.
The LG G5 is one phone that can change into many with the add-ons like LG Hi-Fi Plus with B&O PLAY and LG CAM - Plus, will make the phone stand out even more.
Positives with the new G5 are?
That this phone will allow you to grow and expand not just with the add-ons from LG Friends Family - which are great but a little expensive. But also with the ability to expand the phones memory from 32BG up to 200 GB with the use of the microSD card slot. Plus you also have the ability to swap-out the phone's battery, if needed. With a spare battery you can always make sure that your have power when needed. Just these two abilities on there own make the phone worth having. Plus the G5's power and design make this a flagship mobile phone worth having and I think well above the Samsung Galaxy S7!
Negatives of the G5 are?
Well there aren't many, but over the last 48 hours I've been putting my new G5 through the test. I've changed and played around with most of the phones settings and the G5 hasn't fallen over once. However, what I have noticed is the the fingerprint sensor on my G5 stops working if the phone is either in long periods of standby or when the phone is switched off and then back on.
Yes the G5 fingerprint sensor will not operate first time when the phone is turned on. This is a design security feature. But I have also found that my G5 fingerprint sensor has to be reset by deleting the existing fingerprints and re add them, otherwise they will not work. Then the sensor works for the rest of the day. This may be sorted out with an update for the G5.
The other issue be it a small one is the modular design of the G5. The 2 parts of the phone that separate don't provide a smooth finish when locked back with each other. On my G5 I have one side of the phone where it comes apart higher than the other side. It's not much but you just feel it every time I hold the phone in my hand, it's not a all smooth finish. Thoughts on this are - If you design a phone that has a feature that comes apart make sure that they totally go back together with a all smooth finish, otherwise it makes the phone feel cheap and not a flagship that it is.
I rate this 4.5 out of 5 - It's the fingerprint sensor and the not all smooth finish that just let's it down for me.
AnonD-337774, 18 Apr 2016lg g5 better or samsung s7 edge... Get the LG G5!
Questions. can either Sim be data/phone or both; selectible. one for phone; one data for tethering ?
2 The contacts-address book are seperate per sim selected ?
3. What is the uplink and down link frequencies for the 3 G. ?
4. Is there a list of languages , selectable to choose from ?
AnonD-337774, 18 Apr 2016lg g5 better or samsung s7 edge... LG G5 is The BEST!!! Definitely get LG G5!!!
If they would've kept the battery at at least 3000mAh and made a nicer design, i would've considered this over my new s7 edge.
The truth is that they're both amazing phones, but personally, i don't know what happened with the design - whilst the modular "friends" are indeed innovative and unique, it doesn't render the fact that this phone is almost as ugly as some of those big-bezel iphones...
That being said, the LG G5 is arguably a great second choice, but if battery is of big importance to someone, all i can say is that the s7 edge has the best battery i've ever experienced (1.5 to 2 days with pretty heavy usage easily)...
sweetrevenge, 19 Apr 2016Lg G5 is sch a monster phone. The memory can be expanded not only 200gb but upto 2T. or 2000gb... moreYes but the bettry is very low it would be 3000 mah other wise the phone is owsome..
What I like in the G5 is the fact it has almost all the features we can find in other flagships (it lacks only IP68, and dual window even if it seems for me useless in a 5-5"5 display), and some useful features we hardly/don't find in the other flagships : removable battery, FM Radio, IR blaster, wide angle camera, knock on, potentially modules if the concept is developed.
I think most of reviews don't pay attention on that while it's important on a smartphone to have the maximum of features. I see the smartphone as a swiss knife, and the G5 appears to be the true all-rounder smartphone.
AnonD-337774, 18 Apr 2016lg g5 better or samsung s7 edge... G5 for sure.
Lg G5 is sch a monster phone. The memory can be expanded not only 200gb but upto 2T. or 2000gb first mobile phone to have this feature.
Its funny how samsung fanboys jump straight to the defence of their chosen handset...if you check the specs they are very similar except the dust/water resistance. Dont get me wrong i like both handsets but id prefer the g5...personal choice but dont make it about specs and then say the s7 edge is miles better...because its not. G5 for me innovative and new not just the same handset tweaked a little bit then released as a new handset.
