Honestly speaking, it features quick charge 3.0, which can charge it to 80%+ within 45minutes or so? The phone is quite impressive
AnonD-519071, 31 Mar 2016removeable battery alone makes it far better; haveing a micro sd mem card is super !
I never said anything about sd cards. But I'm using a Sandisk Extreme Class 10 on my Sony so i know what you mean.
As for replaceable battery i never cared about that so much. I have my car charger + powerbanks.
Id rather have a half a cm thick phone with 5000+ battery than a slim phone that dies after one hour of intense usage.
But waterproof is essential when you pay almost 1000 euro on a device that will brake if a few drops of water gets inside and warranty wont cover it.
Have you seen the clip with that guy that took an S7 edge and placed it in the washing machine for 50min?? I mean WOW! That made me think of switching from Sony to sammy, which i dislike!

I do not intend to shower with the phone nor am i clumsy. I like the looks myself, and some of my friends do too. Sure, the G4 was nice, but atleast LG moves on.

Except the USB-C, there is noting impressive about this phone. How is this better than the S7, M10 or X Performance?
To me it's but-ugly. I even asked all my friends and most of them agree. The G4 is superb comparing it to this. The only thing that i like is the lockscreen.
And it lacks the most important thing for a high-end flagship: WATERPROOF!
This commercial reminds me of HTC who did the one with Iron Man but still lost cos their phone was crap. Marketing won't save you if your product sucks...
LG blew it this year.

Do you expect us to believe you without any evidence? At best, you'd have an early beta phone, before even the pre-production model.

I have owned it for a long time now and have had a fantastic time using its features and accessories. The extra wide angle camera does help a lot when taking a photo of a landscape or a group of people. The S7 has no chance against it. But the battery life is a bit of a problem.
just to remind everybody that battery tests on the lg g5 were done on a pre-production unit.
I am still waiting for updated test results before making my judgement in this issue.
Since i mostly browse with the phone ,only 7 hours of web browsing is disappointing,
I hope the production units will do much better.

LG G5: Fast Charge 3.0 Now available in G5 (Not Available in S7, in S8 for sure... Next Year)
LG G5: Snapdragon 820 with the same price (In all countries, not only in USA and China like S7) In Latin America Snapdragon 652 with a lower price...
LG G5: New Perfect Innovative Modular Design (S7 Design = S6 Design?!?)
LG G5: Dual Camera Aspect Ratio 16/9!!!! 16MP!!!! & Wide Angle 8MP with LASER Focus (Not like S7 ancient aspect ratio 4/3 !??! 12MP!??! Dual... Focus...)

Well, it depends, I'm no gamer, chip is 4k capable, for better audio I can use DAC. I would buy that for the same price... asdfunky, 30 Mar 2016Infrared port: Yes What year is it? :DFor remote control. Its 2016 but all TV's, airconds, etc still uses infrared remote control.
asdfunky, 30 Mar 2016Infrared port: Yes
What year is it? :D2016 last I checked.
I see many devices that can be readily controlled by IR. Most televisions and DVD players. I see a Nintendo 3DS which happens to have an IR port. Perhaps it isn't often used that often for communication between devices nowadays, but it is still pretty handy to have.
This is such a fantastic phone. I have owned it for 5 months already and it takes the best photos of any smartphone I have ever used! The G5 rules!
