i am LG G3 user but G5...what is new in this phone.....
Both phones are good ... perhaps this year I'd like to buy the S7 but then I discovered that is missing the Radio FM ... ridiculous in a top phone that cost 829 euro. So i will buy LG G5.
I hope lg g5 have the same sound quality and strength as lg g4...really i hope
Removable battery+Metal Body+Usb Type C+Micro Sd Card+Snapdragon 820(Best one so far)...LG G5,the best MWC smartphone...
Anonymous, 14 Mar 2016S7: waterproof, better design, better battery, better camera technology, super amoled screen, ... moreTo some degree, the s7 is a rip off, you are paying so much for the same phone that came out last year. The manufactured build of the phone costs about $250. LG is simply doing what the Galaxy SIII and that's reinventing itself.
ThanosB75, 14 Mar 2016Derek 100% I agree with you!!!
Congratulations about your analysis!!!G5: Ir Blaster
G5: Fm Radio
G5: Removable Battery
G5: Usb 3.0
G5: Snapdragon 820( all countries , not only in USA and China)
Anonymous, 15 Mar 2016Lg have great desing, but only thing to be better of samsung is to contained WOLED screen panelI do prefer 100% IPS Panel that LG uses in LG-G5 with NATURAL COLORS instead of S7 Super-Duper amoled screen with known BURN-In issues & battery drain issues & Fuzzy dizzy colors etc...
Lg have great desing, but only thing to be better of samsung is to contained WOLED screen panel
Rock, 12 Mar 2016I agree with you!...

You know... The phones having identical hardware with the only difference is one has AMOLED and the other is LCD and the LCD eats up less battery. But who am I kidding, I don't know anything.

The level of customization on my LG is astonishing - from little things like keyboard design and heigh adjustment to re-sizing apps and their icon picture on the homescreen, etc....basically i love my LG G3 (despite it having mediocre battery life)...
This being said, my next phone will be the S7 Edge - i am sorry to say! That phone is a beast. You say that the G5 has 3.0 charging and it will be quicker, but i don't care about that - because i will always have an hour and half to spare before going to bed when i leave my phone on charge. I would be surprised if the G5 will score 60-65 hours here on gsm battery test. The S7 Edge scored 98 hours!! and 20h on video playback alone! That is amazing and something a phone over £500 deserves to have.
I will miss my LG and its detailed meticulous levels of customization, but i can't say no to S7 Edge's design, camera and battery. I am thoroughly disappointed by LG this year. Whilst innovative as always (the modular design is arguably revolutionary), they seemed to have forgotten that it's a smartphone in the first place - 2800 mAh on a phone that is optimized worse than Samsung just doesn't cut it for me...
That's just me. Everybody is different; but i do think LG have shot themselves in the foot this year...
DENN, 14 Mar 2016This phone is Octa core?? or Hexa??Does it matter???
Android can't really utilize all those cores completely anyway
Derek , 14 Mar 2016So you pretty much don't know what you're talking about. Let me help you out. S7: Waterproo... moreThat's are awesome analysis and I totally agree with you. and attach my opinion, buying GS7 or G5 won'thelp your life if you have any smartphone and don'play any game GS2~GS3 or G2 to GS7 or G5 is fine but not else.
Disappointing battery capacity
Anonymous, 14 Mar 2016But at the end of the day the S7 edge battery will last more than the G5. So good luck with y... moreYea but you simply slide new battery in it 2 secs when dead so in long run while you are charging I am still on the go with 2 batteries oh that's right your battery is messed up good luck on the wait for the 2 week reppair
Derek , 14 Mar 2016So you pretty much don't know what you're talking about. Let me help you out.
S7: Waterproo... moreI own a s7 edge .
This guy don't even own either ,so rather than speculation I can factually tell you the s7 edge is awesome .😃
I've got 7 and half hours screen on time with over 27 hours of using .
The tocuhwiz is toned down ,the camera awesome .everything about this phone is great.
I'm confused with your amoled eat battery comment ,LCD drains battery more because it can't display blaxka and whites naturally so uses the screen to do this.
I've had lg g3 and g4 both had big 3000mah batteries and both struggled . the g3 was shocking and the g4 just a ok .around 4 hours of screen time.
Anonymous, 14 Mar 2016But at the end of the day the S7 edge battery will last more than the G5. So good luck with y... moreare you serious ? if i have 2400 battery i`ll still be better then a s7 edge.. i see you guys never used a phone with removable battery lol. + the number on the battery it`s not soo important as you think.. there are phones with higher battery and still hold less.. :)
I'd like to make a SMALL amendment in regards to the camera. The LG G5 outperforms the S7 in every way EXCEPT for low light. But the difference between the two in low light, the S7 performs a bit better, but comparing the 2 photo's, no one would know or care about the difference because it's so minor unless you're a photo snob which you shouldn't/wouldn't be using a phone for photo's in the first place.
Also to add, when the G5 battery gets low, although i predict 90h over S7's 80h's, you could plug your phone in for a whopping 5-10 minutes ANYWHERE and have approximately 80% battery. There's NO WAY i will complain about a smaller battery when i know that it'll still last me an entire day, and if it doesn't i can just plug it in for less than half an hour to get a full charge back.
The UI on the LG G5, i may not agree with the deletion of the app drawer, it'll take getting used to, but it's a much cleaner UI to look at than the S7's oddly colored settings menu that bothers me to look at. Everything has to be a whole bunch of colors for some reason on TouchWiz and somehow, people like it.
Derek , 14 Mar 2016So you pretty much don't know what you're talking about. Let me help you out. S7: Waterproo... morethat was perfect ...
