I saw previous comment. I don't know why people hate new thinks. It's a new smartest phone. What is upgrade? Change cpu,ram,camera and body style, is this update? not upgrade bro. This is upgrade. Think about it.

for sure g5 is far better than s7/edge but 2things occupy my brain and I can't choice it now.the first is very ugly design and body and the 2nd is battery capacity!!!!!!!!! I know that s7 has same cpu and gpu but don't ignore the screen with huge density. qhd sucks the battery and that's why I have to wait until htc m10.but I'm sure I will have the best choice even I choice g5 or m10.if m10 is better I will get it if not g5 will be mine and s7/edge has no chance.that's all....
I have a great and documentary sentence for Samsung fans:
G5 stands far better than s7 and edge generation in last MWC....do you see that or heard about it???? if not you are blind to see the truth.
in the end I have to appreciate lg for g5 and squashing the samsung

It's impossible to beat the LG G2 design, with it's 5.2" screen fit in 138.5 phone height. LG G5 has 5.3" screen fit in 149.4 body height! Galaxy s7 has 5.1“ screen in 142.4 body height. The SD820 is supposed to up its game when it comes to energy efficiency and the always-on notification screen could also have positive impact. If I recall it correctly, newer Androids save energy by postponing many background tasks when the device is in sleep mode, processing them all once you wake the device up. So if you just check the notifications and put the device back to sleep few times a day, all those amassed background tasks can burn up a lot of juice for only a marginal benefit to you. If implemented correctly, this feature could save considerable amount of power for moments when you really need it. So the smaller battery is not necessarily a hindrance. It will not be something to write home about, but if LG doesn't screw up, it could still hold its own under normal daily regime.

I don't know why people are complaining about the 2800 mah battery, why can't we just wait until the device gets released and have a decent and proper review of the battery life..i am guessing they reduced the capacity because of the newer power optimized sd820...bigger capacity batteries does not always mean better battery life, you have to take into consideration software and hardware side of things

I cant buy a larger screen phone. dropping the phone is just a matter of time. Probably audio recording is still way behind the Master, Nokia Pureview 808.

LG G2 is still the best phone. ive had it since 2014 and it still works very well.. LG G5 could be 2nd best behind G2 but this has a lot of potential.. will wait for it to be released so i can test it and hopefully upgrade my old G2 to this new G5

I have samsung galaxy s6 the only real issue i have is the battery. Might go for S7 edge or gonna wait till LG release G5 with higher batter capacity

Well... to be honest: The LG G4 has a 3000mAh battery with a less powerful processor and less RAM. Compared to the G5, this is a significant loss of power. Anyone denying this fact, is simply... well... you know it. It's not that different to the LG G4 to buy it. Sorry, but that's the hard fact.
