The only drawback of this device is the battery. 2800mAH is not enough for a high end device . Sorry ,LG :(

AnonD-475625, 22 Feb 2016Nope....camera resolution as the g4....im expecting 20 megapixel as the gsm arena specificatio... moreSince when is the number of megapixels the most telling factor for judging camera quality? Postprocessing algorithms and optics are where it's at. Just look at the Xperia lineup. So many megapixels... but regarding all those high numbers, their real-world performance tends to be somewhat underwhelming due to the software corner-cutting.

this phone is perfect the only problems i have with it are mostly subjective like the screen size i have a note 3 and i dont enjoy these huge screens 5 to 5.1 for me. secondly the absence of an amoled screen i mean we all know lcd is a deadman walking nothing beats a full hd movie on an amoled screen the contrast and punchy colours make you feel like you are in the movie. thirdly i wish they just want with one uniform colour and not two different colours for the back and front. thirdly the absence of a fingerprint sensor the convinience of it brings is really something important for a flagship.
i congratulate lg on the modular concept although i had make the camera module with a xenon flash with the controls and an extra mic for better sound recording. the speaker module is the best of the bunch. the design is nice and innovative 7/10 for me. and in general i had give it 7.5/10 but due to my very subjective needs i had still go with the s7 but this is pretty perfect.

It's nice that LG are trying to innovate and to some extent succeeding with that, but my decision has been made yesterday. As much as i love LG (being a previous owner of LG G2 and now LG G4) my next phone will definitely be the S7 Edge.

LG has messed up on 2 crucial basic points: it's an ugly design - it looks cheap; almost as cheap as an iphone or those plastic $50 Android phones. And 2. The 2800mAh battery is not enough. It might be better optimized but i am willing to bet the S7 Edge will have 40-50% more on the endurance rating...

Sorry LG, you handed me to Samsung...

Too much accessories. I wonder how people are suppose to carry them all. i wanna take a picture. oh wait i have to change the modular. i wanna listen to music, oh wait i have to change the modular. Battery is dying, oh let me change the modular. You guys look funny having all of this modular. you become a marine or a soldier. carrying them like ammo clip around your waist. Go get a life. Life's Good? if you say so darling.

I prefer the smaller screen size, had my hands on the new Nexus 6P made by Huawei and it's far too big. For me a phone is supposed to be portable and that means still being able to fit it in your pocket!

Kudos to LG for trying something different, Love that they've managed to keep the removable battery and upgrade to a metal body.
Smaller battery size isn't great and my LG G2 that I have at the moment has to be charged twice a day, I do use it a lot however, mostly to check the time. I hate clocks/watches (the ticking!) so I don't have any in the house and rely on my phone and TV for the time, I must check my phone 100 times a day for the time. Therefore the always on display is perfect for me.

Love that the volume buttons have been moved to the side that was the one thing that irritated me about the previous LG G range, having ot pick the phone up to change the volume.
LG bloatware is no where near as irritating as Samsung's (have a Samsung Tab S 10.5 tablet) so I'd never get a Samsung phone for that reason.
Not really interested in a fingerprint scanner, don't really see the point. I'll just be using a passcode.

Would have preferred a 64GB option too I know it's expandable but it's not quite the same most apps can't be stored on an SD card for obvious reasons so really it's just music and photos. I use Spotify so I doubt that stores on the SD when you download it.

Overall a great phone, Give me a date and I'll be the first person buying it!

                    Pros:
                    1. modular design
                    2. improved cpu and gpu compared to previous G series
                    Cons:
                    1. battery has smaller capacity compared to previous G series
                    2. screen to body ratio decreased compared to previous G series
                    Lg G2: 75.9% screen-to-body ratio
                    Lg G3: 75.3% screen-to-body ratio
                    Lg G4: 72.5% screen-to-body ratio

I'll support LG until they eliminate removable batteries on their flagships as they seem the only smart global brand who hasn't removed it yet.

LOL @ the haters. This is Samsung's tock year. The Galaxy S7 is basically the "s" year like iPhone 6s or HTC One M8 and M9. LG went tick. Hoping HTC goes tick this year after rehashing two years in a row.

LG is pulling off REAL INNOVATION here. Stuff others will eventually copy from. It just hasn't marinated on all you numbskulls yet. And give them credit for going METAL. I prefer matte soft plastic but I would pick metal over glass any day. So when Samsung refines and rehashes, they get praised? When LG tries to innovate (yet again), they get criticized? The G4 was basically a rehash of the G3. If G5 rehashed like what HTC did to the M9 last year, they surely would get criticized for it too.

Project Ara is upon us... What the G5 is doing is giving back more control to the users and an early preview on what our 2020's decade smartphones might look and act like. At least a modular design seems to be more useful than some flashy and gimmicky dual-edged screen.
