V20 does have a b... moreI couldn't agree more with you savor the G5 is overlooked and absolutely underrated indeed and yet it is a brilliant smartphone and I find that mine can handle anything I throw at it without it breaking a sweat and I would absolutely recommend this phone to anyone without a hesitation.
I simply love the design of this phone with the removable battery,I think it's genius and yet alot of people think it's rubbish but at least LG pulled it off whereas all the other companies just seal there phones and yeah the G6 is sealed now but the G5 is special because of the removable battery option.

After more than three months, still my favorite smartphone I have ever used. V20 does have a better screen and battery life but I still prefer the design, size, and the louder external speaker of my G5.
I use my G5 mostly as a media player for songs, videos, and games. There is no sim in it since my Sprint variant can't read my Verizon sim and can't get data with the T-Mobile. Only calls and texts with TMo. But I usually bring it with me because it holds all my media files and to play games like Ninja Arashi.
Typing on my G5 right now and still smoother than my SD820 S7 edge. The PS Vita of smartphones. Great but simply overlooked and criminally underrated.

Go for the LG G5 if you want a replaceable battery because after a year the battery does degrade especially if you use quick charging alot and also the G5 has excellent battery life in my opinion compared to the htc 10 and also if you want a always on display which the htc 10 doesn't have but once you get use to using the always on display it's invaluable.
The screen is also bigger on the G5 also and it's nice and clear and the software experience on the G5 I think makes every day operations quicker to do.
Go for the htc 10 if you want better sound for watching videos and listening to music from the speakers on the phone and also if you want excellent build quality and also if you like to customize your phone using the htc software but the battery life is not the best on the htc 10 in my opinion and the screen is smaller than the G5 also but it is better for colours and brightness.
To be fair I would go with the G5 because I use mine as my daily driver whereas my htc 10 is more of a back up phone now.

I didn't have Google assistant on my G5 in the UK but I changed my main language to English (United States) and now I have it.
Just posting this if anyone doesn't have it on there G5 you could do what I did and you should get the assistant.

Anonymous, 23 May 2017Finally i got the nougat update late in india.but the update makes my phone so much aweosome .... moreBuild quality is not that great. I mean its corners where you clip in the mods are not perfect so they hurt you when you use it

I bought my LG G5 after owning a LG G3 which I wasn't satisified with (LG service center replaced my motherboard and battery 3 times in 3 years for free ). I gave LG another shot because everyone was saying that their new G5 is the best android phone available at that moment.
First day I used it the performance was great, it looked cool, although I was a bit suspicious of it's build quality. The third day my back button just stopped working out of nowhere so I had to use double click on the screen to unlock / lock my phone. A week later my mobile phone fell from my pocket to a hardwood floor and the screen broke. I paid for the new screen and they fixed my back button with no questions asked for free so I think it's a problem they often have. After I repaired the phone I dropped it again after 3 days and the screen broke in the exact same place. I mean, I know your phone isn't supposed to hit the floor, but if the screen breaks every time the mobile phone hits something and in the exact same place, that's a matter of build quality and it's silly to sell a high end mobile phone with such a fragile screen.
Now I'm on my way to return the phone and I will never buy any electronic device from LG again because I gave them a chance and they disappointed me.

Pros: Performance is great, camera is great, display is great, battery is removable, fast charging is incredible.
Cons: Battery life is poor, build quality is poor, ghost screen problem still exists, no equalizer in 2017 (LG pls..), bottom of the phone doesn't fit very well, speakers aren't loud enough.

Got a software update for my G5 last night in the uk of 600 plus mb,software number V20f-234-30.
Phone seems faster but otherwise I can't seem to see any other differences.

Moribels, 10 May 2017only issue im encountering right now is the screen overlay. i thought it was a screen burn at ... moreOnly solution is to replace the faulty display.I too have this problem and changed the display now problem gone but now i have several scratches on my phone .Think twice before giving it to service center.
