G5 is junk wish I never got it. Constantly rebooting/restarting and freezing. Finally after a fit stuck in a constant rebooting cycle it completely bricked, dead might as well throw it away. Don't buy a G5 unless you want to throw money away and have constant headache.

However, if I decide to buy an additional battery and keep in in the drawer for one year (until the current one starts holding very little charge), will it work perfect on the phone even if it has stayed 1 year without being used?
Also, I have an Xperia Z2 and I feel like a £400 payment doesn't justify the jump in characteristics (the CPU is a bit faster and it has an additional 1 GB of RAM). The camera is smaller on the G5.

G5 is the most reliable phone to date and its performance is the best. Cammeras just perfect. Battery great. So, even without its "friends" i would have bought it again. Forgot to mention the expandable storage and removable battery.
LG abandoning the modular concept of G5 in future. so no need to invest in such type of device, yes i think it is one of da best mobile spec wise.
I was thinking of buying the G5, however, I recently read that LG are abandoning the modular concept for their future flagships. Since modules is what got me to this phone in the first place (it looks SO cool being able to play with your phone and attach/detach certain components), I think it's a shame that they are abandoning the idea. If I buy the G5 now, support for the current modules will probably end soon, which means I won't be able to replace them. Overall phone support might also end sooner. What would you recommend me? I need a phone (with a removable battery, but not the V20 as it is too expensive for me) that will last me and have support for at least 2 years. Thank you and appreciated.
hirsi, 25 Oct 2016which one should i take g5 or g4g5
g4 have to many bootloops to risk it
Please give me opinion about Camera (Front and Back ) .. Is it good or Normal compared to S7/OPPO/HUAWEI .. ?
I have G5 from may and I have nothing to comment about this phone, work incredible fast, accesories are great, expensive but great, if you are not a brute with your phone G5 is incredible, back fingerprint is perfect for one hand unlock (except samsung where you need to use all hands to unlock) and if you don't like theme or anything else you can change it any time. Perfect phone for me, no back fingers, metallic shape, is great for me. Excuse my bad english pls.
Lukman.eL.zoriontsu, 25 Oct 2016which the best ..?? g4 / g5 ...??Take G5. I have got the bootloop issue on my G4 last week. Totally bricketed.
Lukman.eL.zoriontsu, 25 Oct 2016which the best ..?? g4 / g5 ...??g4 has too many reliability issues.
Lukman.eL.zoriontsu, 25 Oct 2016which the best ..?? g4 / g5 ...??I like the g5 better! cool pictures and its not that heavy.
LG originally meant Lucky Goldstar before it was changed to Life's Good. :)
Lg please dont ditch modular concept....but not for g series...make a new series line name for modularr phone.....

That means that G5 support will stop much sooner and there is no point in buying the phone. They will probably even stop manufacturing the modules.
venom0706, 23 Oct 2016I am thinking of buying this phone, but I am wondering - are the different modules essential? ... morePhone itself is a beast, but other than that, it's really not worth it to buy like the cam plus. That's just overpriced. An extra battery would be enough, or just bring your charger along since it can charge 70% in 30 mins. Take good care and a few years is definitely no problem
