Ran into a battery drain issue after upgrading to Nougat. If you are using smart settings (location auto-setting) and your mobile data is off, the GPS will not be able to locate your position and your phone will become hot (processor is continuously working attempting to fulfill the auto smart settings) and your battering will drain in approx 2.5 hours. Clearly there is an issue with the Nougat build. Recommend not using this. Also, turn off WiFi scanning. Even if your Wifi is turned off, the scan function will continue and will add to your battery drain.
Otherwise, great phone.

Just received a dual sim LG G5 H860 cel phone. It looks to be a very nice phone....now.... I can't undestand why on the world LG would make a phone for two telephone lines, and if we put both sims cards in both slots there's no place for the mini SD card....it's crazy....I need two lines for two different phone companies and now I face the fact that I'll have to take movies and pictures only with the 32Gb internal memory alone....Mr. LG....¿ What to buy the 128Gb mini SD card I ordered with the phone ? Thank you very much.

What you mean is Image retention and its a major issue with LCD displays but it temporary. It should go off once your phone is not in use say over night. You can also download any "Blue Light Filter" app off google play. It will prevent this Image Retention.
I have this phone for about 6 months and I'm impressed by LG. Cameras are excellent (back cameras have very good picture quality, and the front camera too, it's wide and it takes great sefies), the speaker gets very loud and it has great sound quality. Snapdragon 820 with 4GB RAM is lightning fast and everything is super smooth. Battery is average, but it's not bad. You can get around 5 hours of extreme usage (for example playing heavy games on LTE), but with the lighter use you can get full day without problem. It supports fast charging, and it's working very well(full charge in less than an hour). Screen is very vibrant and produces vivid colors, but it has little problem with burn-ins, and is very hard to notice, but it's there. Fingerprint sensor is working excellent, in less than a second. If anyone want a flagship phone with excellent specs for a little less money than the other competition(price is below 400$), than I can definitely recommend this phone. :)
My G5 since the nougat update has had amazing battery life and I can easily get a full day out of it even though I'm a heavy user and I'm constantly on my phone texting or on the net etc so to be fair I am always amazed with just how good this phone is and it kills my HTC 10 which I struggle to get a full day out of it without having to charge it once or twice during the day.
Just had my G5 and having problem detecting and pairing with my existing bluetooth devices - no problem when using Samsung Alpha.
Any suggestions.
Thanks.
I only had this phone for a month (The dual sim version) and about a week ago it started having that 'burn in' issue or image retention thingy. Is that factory defect or can it be resolved by an app or by a software update? I am hesitant to send it away for warranty as it takes ages here in the Philippines to send a phone for warranty repair as I do not have a spare phone to use for the meantime. Thanks!
Didn't get nougat update in india even after other competitors released their updates. Won't go for lg again. Customers care is pathetic. That is a big problem when dealing with a supposed flagship product.
