For the last 2 years I've been using an Lg G2 so the G5 will be easier to get used to.
The salesman at Verizon told me he sees a lot of people that bring back their S7 Edge with broken screens, the G5 has gorilla glass 4 so I think it will be more durable if I drop it.
S7 Edge has a bigger battery and wireless charging but the G5 has a replaceable battery and USB C will charge to 80% in 25 minutes, with an extra battery no need to wait to charge at all.
G5 is a lot less expensive.
S7 Edge is water resistant, G5 is not.
Both have 4g ram and 32g mem. and Snapdragon 820 processors
I chose the G5.
I think I made the right choice. I'll keep it away from water and hopefully I wont miss the convenience of wireless charging.

I had this US factory unlocked lg g5 rs988 for less than a month my carrier is metropcs, basically t-mobile, and I noticed that the wi-fi calling, that is really important to me, wasn't active, long story short I called both costumer cares, lg and metropcs, and even though lg ensured me that the phone was VoiLTE capable, only after that in front of me the metropcs tech support corporate called lg they told them that is not activated from lg because is not branded.
You do not buy a regular lg g5 unlocked but an under powered version.
Misleading approach, lg promised that when they will have a patch they are going to send me over the release. when? I will never know.
BTW this is the third lg that I have a problem with (g2, g4, and g5), maybe the reliability is a problem.
Guys i am choosing between s7 and g5.. g5 is about 170 EUR cheaper on a 2-year contract in our country.. which one should i buy, what do you think?
Ugly phone where old Lg G design

geo, 07 Sep 2016why does this phone only have 32 GB for memory and its 576 like comon you could make more memo... moreWhat have you been able to do with the 32GB? Secondly, the fluctuations between 3G and LTE is a function of your network and not the phone. The phone picks the signals it can detect around you.
AnonD-577026, 27 Aug 2016I have had my phone (lg g5) for like 3 months and the bottom has never connected right and now... moreYou can go to the service center and they will fix it manually it wont do that again this is the only thing they can do

why does this phone only have 32 GB for memory and its 576 like comon you could make more memory with 64 GB better and the mobile data LTE needs to stop going to 3G what am i paying for when its not LTE and not fast the phone needs more speed and no apps that you dont need

I got this phablet a few months ago and sold it a few weeks later. Although it's fast, has good cameras and nice display quality, it's just too big for my average size hands and it has totally unnecessary fingerprint scanner, which is a minus. It doesn't fit nicely in hands nor in pocket because of its size. Anything over 140mm long and over 70mm wide is unpractical, cumbersome and too big, regardless how thin it is. LG should know that!
I don't care even 0,1% about the phone (phablet in this case) thickness, but I do care 100% about its length and width. And no, there's no way you can comfortably use this or any other similar size "phone" (read: phablet) with one hand. I'm 1.81 m tall, which is taller than average and, trust me, it's just too big to be practical.
Apart from unnecessary fingerprint scanner and it's big size, it's a very good phablet.
Just want to know whether both the SIM Slots support LTE and Volte in Indian version of G5 i.e. H860 ?
In my G5, SIM Slot 1 does not support Volte SIM ?
Kaung Myat, 05 Sep 2016Does anyone tell me about lg g5. I am now using galaxy s6 and will be shifted to g5. Advice m... moreBoth good so try them both. I also have an s6 and love it. Why do you want to change to LG?
