I got G6 Korean Model G600S one month ago, before using S7 T mobile .
This device is awesome in all aspects
Display , camera , signal strength including wifi, battery time , and output speaker throw quality sound.
Only Front facing camera is average, rest is perfect.
Today I got 8.0 update.
Highly recommend Phone.
Potential buyer, 23 Apr 2018Guys lg g6 or samsung s7.I need to use this phone for at least 2 year and i prioritize gaming ... moreTo be honest. Have a g6 now and before the s7 and s7 edge. S7 edge has best battery life. S7 best size. Both vivid screens in color. The g6 has the worst battery life of the 3. Screen is ok. Sun light doesn't make things better. However in theory the g6 will receive the most updates of android (oreo still a no go 4 the moment). And s7 (edge) will not get one after oreo. They perform the same in games. Want a samsung? Buy a s8 or even an s9. Want an lg? Buy the v30 or wait a bit for the g7. Will give you the most for your money in terms of lifetime and updates in the future. 2 years is a long time for a phone so better buy the best now and have a good phone for 2 years then buying an old phone and be forces to buy a new 1 in a year because it's to slow. My humble opinion. Choose wisely
Someone please release the dates for the updates model number wise.
Mine in H970DS, purchased from Saudi. Hope it gets Oreo within a month.
Im wondering how long we need to wait for Oreo. I have the LG-H870 model.

Yes I agree more spaces in memory and you can hide the navigation bar in apps for full screen view, which is very optimized and more display space.
Anyone know if the AI camera features are working? Is there any difference?
I have got oreo update on my korean g6. Its working well on oreo with new features,AI in camera and more free space 23.5 gb out of 32gb. Battery life seems to be a little improved.
Anonymous, 30 Apr 2018I've got the 8.0.0 update (I'm using a Korean phone and I'm from Vietnam). It was really laggy... moreLG said they were gonna start rolling out Oreo april 30th for the lg g6 so what was a lie huh? You expect every phone, globally, to get the update instantly? Sure they slacked, like they always do, but no false promises or lies so instead of complaining about not getting ur timely update just go for another brand next time aight?
I've got the 8.0.0 update (I'm using a Korean phone and I'm from Vietnam). It was really laggy at first but everything is fine now. Will try the new feature on it.
RMDK, 26 Apr 2018LG Mobile is working on Oreo update and update will be released in South Korea in next one wee... moreIn other words another failure or lie from LG. Just a week ago they stated that Oreo for G6 will be released by the end of the month when in fact they are pushing the update further and further. When are they going to come forth and ask for forgiveness to us, the buyers, for lying to us?

Do lg g6 have bootloop problem cause the last lg phone i have died on me on the second day and i have a phobia with it.it died by the bootloop problem
This would be the perfect size/design phone ever if it was using SD835
I'd by one if they do a refresh (LG G6X or something) with better cpu and keep everything else the same

I could understand it because of boot loop but no with sd820 which is equal to g6 sd821
