This G8 looks really nice, last year LG flagship problem was the poor battery with only 3000mhA but this year those 3500mhA looks way better to at least be a 1 full day phone.

Hey folks!
It seems to me that lg has planned not to launch G8 thinq in India, it's my assumption. Do you guys have guys have any idea on this? Appeal to the gsmarena folks to throw light on the matter.

No one buys ... moreBoot loop did persist till G4 but is a thing of the past now with LG phones. But their reputation certainly took a hit and poor OS update added fuel to the fire. But I can swear by the hardware quality and they are one of the few mainstream manufacturers who offer decent features for the price.

In fact, as early as the G5 (some varients excluded? There is no problem for the HK G5), the bootloop problem is almost 100% solved. It's completely solved for the G6 and afterwards.

For the update, till 10 Dec it's only available in Korea. While I just see some screenshots in XDA showing the official update for Sprint users today. I also want some Sprint friends to confirm that.

dundi, 21 Nov 2019I can't buy it in Europe either, so I'll just try buying a slightly used and unlocked one on U... moreUS versions only have two camera lens and are loaded with US Network bloatware and interfering network software: My advice is to avoid US versions unless you reside int he USA. I bought mine directly from Korea and privately imported.

NO update seems available to my LG G8 ThinQ. It is the Korean LM- 820N Version with 3 rear camera lens, but when I look for update in settings it just says it already has the latest software (Android 9) for the current OS; for this version. So where is the information about Android 10 coming from as it appears to be "FAKE NEWS" ?? I just checked again December 9 2019 but i'm still 'stuck' with Android 9.

Dimitris766, 30 Nov 2019Incredibly bad battery!!Quite the contrary in my experience. At the end of the day for me, I usually have around 50% left. The G8 could most likely last 2 days before having to charge! And I have a live wallpaper running now and the brightness at least half. Lasts a long time for me!
