No random reboot during phone call... moreJust because something powers on, doesn't mean it is working at optimum level. The ESS Sabre QuadDAC will for sure power on with Android 12, but the painstaking effort that LG software developers took with Android 10 by bypassing the Android's crippled audio stack is missing. The Meridian Audio tuning which gave it a distinctive audio signature through headphone jack is missing. Maybe license had expired with Meridian.
Analogue audio quality and its subjective interpretation is a very sensitive topic. It is not necessary for everybody to understand it, but those who do can easily spot the difference. And there was a big difference in analogue audio quality through headphone jack between A10 & A11. I don't know what happened with A12.

The extensive changes that Google brought up with A12 is similar to what it did with Android 5 (Lolipop). With the strict 1 year development policy Google follows with Android, it left no time for optimizations after such mega change. Ofcourse this will improve over time, with Android 13 the devs will have the time to optimize it well. Fingers crossed.
Never knew A12 on LG G8X is this bad. Sorry to hear this, but I got the hint from Android 11 itself. My G8X twins are forever going to remain with Android 10.

Phone lagging too much after android 12 upgrade especially drop down menu from home screen/notification menu (idk it's technical name 😅) while switching anything it completely freezes.
It's happening mostly when phone left idle for few minutes & unlocking with fingerprint sensor is also taking a lot more time than usual.

Well, googling reveals that a lot of articles confirm this as a scientific study's result so I guess, please let me know where you found this from. In fact, Reading modes and comfort modes on mobile phones of today are clear in their claims, including our G8x:- they claim to reduce blue light to reduce damage to eyes.
Coming to your phone, maybe yours is a special case then. Becuase in my expert mode, the comfort view is turned off, thus the look is a balanced one.

Hi-Fi quad-dac still working in Android 12 for me at least. No random reboot during phone calls and charging for me. So there is no reason to down grade to Android 10. Dynamic colours is working for Google Apps. But sometimes wrong colour gets picked. Random reboot occur during phone call if magnification is turned on. There is no FM radio and knock code which is a shame

Samath N8 808 owner, 25 Jul 2022Go to Settings/ Display/ and check if Screen colour is set to "Cinema" or any other.... moreI set my display on 'expert' mode, and I've checked all options on my phone, yet its display is yellowish than general. And there is no scientific evidence that blue light of electronic items damage human eyes. Don't believe on social myths.
