The LG G8X ThinQ units locked to Sprint's network are receiving the Android 10 update. The new firmware sports version G850U20f and is rolling out to units with model code LM-G850UM.
The new update brings in dark mode and full-screen gestures to the G8X ThinQ. Besides, it also comes with clearer app icons and improved layouts for titles and buttons, as well as enhanced animations.
Additionally, the update now lets G8X ThinQ users keep the Dual Screen accessory turned on even when it's folded, for what that's worth.
The Android 10 update is rolling out over the air and should reach all G8X ThinQ units locked to Sprint's network in a few days.
Wrong, just wrong. LG phones, like most Android phones, get 2 MAJOR updates. So the LG G8X will be updated to Android 11. When? I don't know, but it will get the update.
Don't be so confident, I've seen lots of LG phones receiving two major software version update. Since the G8X is one of their flagship-tier device, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Android 11 would be available.
