hi i am in Belize and have an lg g flex and want to upgrade to kikat how can i do so without rooting?

erickins, 01 Apr 2015how did you know that it will not be updated to android kitkat?if you have got L23 model, check the official site for AU japan, L23 is no where mentioned in the handsets to be updated to Kitkat.
Also the firmware is deeply customized and unfortunately, we cannot flash other carrier firmware on to L23 model.

Depends upon the model you have.
If you are talking a generic US model, you are correct on Kitkat part though no official confirmation on Lollipop though.
If it L23, Japanese version which is sold on ebay.in, latest version is 4.2.2 and most probably you will not get kitkat or lollipop.

If you have already rooted the phone, try delete the /etc/hosts file, it will fix the problem.

I got lg g flex L23 model from USA. It seems to be Japan version and still have jelly bean 4.2.2. Is there any way I can upgrade it to KitKat without damaging the phone?
