this phone is not quad band phone (does not supoort band 850)the battery with 1500 mAh is power full enough I used it more than 4-5 days talking and receiving sms very good phone with dual stand by feature

I usually always buy Nokia, my second choice would have been Motorola. However, I went to the mobile store in aim of looking for two things in a phone I wanted to buy. Dual SIM and large numbers and keys.
The LG stood out to me especially the keys, number size and phone shape. It was different. Plus it was dual sim.
Here what I can tell you about the phone:
* You can put two sim cards in IF you want to. You have settings for both sim cards on the phone. The two are separated by colour. Each list of contacts are recognized by colour code.
*On both sides of the phones there is a small rectangular shape button. I noticed when I received a call a blue light flashes ( probably indicating that I am using sim 1 card, thus, this mean the other side will flash a red light if the other sim card ( 2 ) rings. I like this feature, very handy. See pic of phone on here.
* The numbers and keys are big, easy for those who want to see the keys
* It is slim and easy to hold, pretty big in size but very nice.
* It has a feature called 'Secret Notes' here you can add important details or probably credit card numbers whatever and then insert a code to lock it, so you only can access it.
* As far as I know you can also have two network operators for each of your sim cards your phone, like one for where you reside, and one for when you travel abroad.
All in all, it is a pretty good phone, whether services are widely available in the country of purchase -if needed- is another story.

With 1,500 mAH, its battery should be alive for at least 3 days with moderate use. But i wonder why some people say it is not powerful enough.

Any owner of the phone:
1-Can we change the sms alert to any mp3 or other supported or are we restricted to those 3-5 old alerts like old lgs/ samsung?
2- How's the listening to music experience through headphone and speaker and watching mp4/3gp vidoes?
3- How's the loud speaker, is it loud enough with good bass?
4- Is there a built in answering machine like in samsung phones?

camera quality in not good, there is no zoom during taking a picture...there is problem in mic.. pleople complaining me that they are not getting me properly while talking

LG GX-300 is a good phone, battery lasting to specs. dual sim works well with easy switching between either or.
the graphics on screen could be larger and pity the SIM 1 or SIM 2 don't illuminate on selection, would give better indication of SIM being used.
good phone for basic calling and TXT.
