samfrmbd, 05 Feb 2009i am having a problem with the verbatim memory card that came with this package..it is a 1 gb ... moreIt's reporting the internal memory full.
The external memory and internal memory are separate, there is not a seamless flow between them. To store pictures or video taken by the phone on the external memory open the camera/video and select 'options' then '*Save to' and select external memory.
Any other 'My Stuff" if transferred by Bluetooth will only go to the internal memory and will quickly become full. You have to transfer to the external memory to create space on the internal by selecting the file then 'Options/File/Move to External
If you transfer via USB you can put files directly in 'External Memory' as Internal and External appear separate on your computer.
i am having a problem with the verbatim memory card that came with this package..it is a 1 gb memory stick but shows memory full even when only 650 mb space is filled..and another inquiry is: do each sub folder in 'my stuff' have limited capacity, like 100 mb for images, 200 for videos and so on?..because even when there is more than 500 mb space in my external memory, no more picture/video can be saved as a message shows 'memory full'..i am really confused..help me out on this fellows..

Couldn't say where your problem lies as mine sounds fine with the headphones provided although they are not so comfortable and keep falling out of my ears, could be my ears I guess! You could take the phone back to the shop (as it's brand new) and ask them to check it out for you with some other headphones
I was at a mates gig last night, and two problems arose
1] the camera is scared of the dark. The LED, which normally seems underpowered ended up being too bright for up close images, and the camera just couldnt seem to focus(almost all the pictures are blurry) :[
2]After about 45 secs of recording, the video messes up;starts pixelating and just generally annoying me. Anyone else had the same problem?
Spotty Dog, thanks for the advice. I guess an adapter woud be the best solution. I just hope it's the headphones that provide such a low sound quality and not the phone.
i dont have the same experience as the people who arent happy about the battery. it takes mine about 2 hours to charge from absolutely dead and lasts me about 3-4 days. its the same pretty much as any phone ive had before, if not better.
i really luv this phone and im really glad i went for it.
Anonymous, 31 Jan 2009how fine is it's camera & video quality?Got one since 7 months. Nice phone, very good video quality, good pad, nice screen visibility. But very poor battery lifetime, photos are bad very often because of light trouble, cheap earphones, slow time reaction, average flash, microphone vibrating during calls, and no themes for this kc550 !
Cheap phone, but i know why...

If you buy an adaptor (they have them on Ebay for about 99p + postage) that will convert from the LG connection to a 3.5mm jack plug you can have your pick of headsets available just about anywhere.
I got this phone last week and I love it. The only thing that bugs me is the mp3 player. The sound quality is really bad. I don't know whether it's the phone or the headphones that come with the phone. Any ideas? Is it possible to get another headphones that would provide more quality? Because now I just can't listen to mp3 on this phone and it would be great to have everything in one device. Thanks.

and a lens cover is metal indeed. really firm, with hard open/shut click.
I would like to know if this phone has a document editor, or if the document viewer has a search option.
I'm considering this one and Samsung u800.
One more thing. Is that metal thing on the back (the camera (i'm not english, i don't know the word) it keeps it from dusting) able to open in your pocket??
i got this phone a few days ago
and the LG interface is pretty slow
but i got it in pink and i think its cute. kinda sucks how you can't create themes but it's LG.. so what do you expect?
better than my w580i in terms of looks and feel
the camera isnt too bad and the video is okay
pretty decent for $280, in my opinion.
but then again im comparing it to my w580i..

I got mine in pink 2 weeks ago and I'm luvin it so far. The camera is excellent, awesome and very stylish phone. It's very light in weight and handy, probably the thinnest slide phone I have ever seen. If you are looking for a fashionable cellphone go for it. You won't regret. See my cellphone post here.
This phone is terrible. I think it is very slow and not suitable for a lot of people. I have now change my phone for the LG KP500(cookie) which is loads better
