m.ar.e.s, 24 Dec 2008Can I install some GPS Navigation software so that I can use Renoir as car-navigation untit? theres goggle maps for gps, but i found that the update speed wasnt as good as it should have been- particularly if your using it in a car with updates every 5 seconds. i'm sure theres other gps software out there, but google maps is excellent for pretty much everything. although remember it uses internet so get a data bundle =]

about the downloading msn messenger, as far as im aware there are not yet any apps specifically for the renoir, HOWEVER; if you go on to ebuddy.com and download the msn messenger for the lg viewty then it can work for the renoir; they use the same platform/os so it works! =]

This phone is EXCELLENT but mine is currently on its way back to the UK warehouse for a temporary service repair due a a fault (my phone speaker burst exactly on the third day after i got it and while i was checking my voice mail). I cannot wait until LG send me another one, but dont get me wrong i still think its the best phone ever.

you cannot watch streaming vids because your browser on your phone doesnt have the required plugin!

what you got there is the asian model version, and with that you cannot watch youtube video because this version does not have internet profile set up for you out of the box. I bet your renoir manual comes with three languages chinese, cantanese and english right? and your phone also have one extra version of the wallpaper picture of the little girl.
I got the version from UK v-910a and it play youtube straight out of the box because there was already internet profile set up. The UK version on the other does not have the little girl painting as wallpaper and also the owner manual is all in english and it said defining features on the owner manual.
By the way if you notice your renoir does have the google map already preinstall, and the UK renoir that i have does not have google map preinstall.
I hope this explain it all to you, I had the same situation as you where i bought two renoir and my first one was the UK version and the second one was the Asian model one.
