LG Stands for Lakhee Geumsung which, in English, means Lucky Goldstar. Lakhee is a chemical company, Geumsung is an electronics company. They were founded by one man but just had different names. In 1994, the grandson of the founder took over the group and came up with one name for the entire group and its subsidiaries, LG.
If this phone doesn't have a sim card slot, how does it work with GSM providers? For example, if I buy this phone (I live in the US), how will I use this with my Cingular service provider?
I've heard the phone is called Chocolate coz its a metaphor for desire and is irresistible.
Personally, it's just drop dead gorgeous.
Got this phone, think its the best phone i've ever had. Touch pad is surprisingly responsive and the whole user experience has been an utter pleasure.
Would definately buy an LG phone again. Keep up the good work LG!
there's been some wicked-crazy hype for this phone,i can't believe it!personally i think it's a bit...*throws up in own hands*.but hey,whatever lights yer candle,no?!
Had this phone a week now, and I love it more every day... yeah it's got some quirks and some downsides... but having been a Nokia user all my life, I've found the user interface very easy to get on with... plus it is the best looking phone on the market by far!
this phone is really the best phone i ever had.
everything about it is perfect. i wonder how companies will make phones 50 years later...
also mp3 sound quality is much better than ipod. too bad it's only 128mb.
i had this phone for one week and i think this phone is great! i'm totally satisfy with this sexy looking phone~
Anyone had experience with Mobilegadgets.net ? is it legitimate business ?
well, because apparantly it looks like a chocolate bar, to me it just looks like a sharp TM100. Now this phone was supposed to have been very BIG in Korea everyone wanted it like everyone wanted the D500 aka Samsung black over here. LG isn't much of a well known brand in the UK people still are not very familiar with it like they are in Korea even though LG single handedly invented Hi Definition television but thats another story. This phone in terms of its productivity is nothing special only 128MB memory with no memory card slot to expand on but most people have some form of mp3 player elsewhere these days so i dont think thats a problem. I personaly wouldn't swap it for a Samsung slider, Samsung phones look much more slick and atractive a la D800.
It's a beautiful phone but I agree with others that it would look much better with blue lights.
Shame that there isn't an option to choose.
What kind of problems are you having with the phone John (Carroll)?
i'd rather call LG KG 920 a camera with functions of a phone and not backwards =)it's nice, but the size is to big.i wouldn't buy it.nokia has the same camera phone and it's size is the same,so i better wait few more years, when 5 mpx cameras will be integrated in phones like "chocolate",but now i'm buying this one!!=)
Regarding the Camera...do you know in LG KG 920, there exist a 5 Mega Pixel Camera...You Cant Beleive in your Eyes...
Oh ho guys, They named it "Chocolate" not because of it's dark color or shape. It's the alternate shades of the key-pad which resembles chocolate.
And yes from marketing point of view naming is important. Motorola did well naming there phones RAZR, PABL, SLVR, ROKR..its easy to remember.
