Does the keypad light up? Mine does not and I find it very difficult to use at night. I have checked the LG website and user manuals and nowhere does it mention that it lights up nor does it say that there is a setting that you need to change. Can anyone reply? Thanks

I absolutely hate this phone. I just bought it less than 6 hours ago and I haven't put it down since but I hate almost every single thing I've found out about it. Other than the fact that it takes great pictures, everything else is ridiculous. I'm going to take it back first thing in the morning. It is not worth the price that it costs.

I have a problem with the keypad-light too.
after 1 week in use the light is sometimes off and i can press so many buttons i like and open it so often as i like but the light goes not on. (the red light from touchpanel goes great). suddenly or after a while when i using the phone again the keypad-lights goes on.
but later on day or next day i use it or write a message suddenly the light goes out and stays out. i think i go to the service point tomorrow

Guys, I think you are being a bit hard on the LG KG800. I have had this phone for 3 days now, and have only charged it once, and is still at full battery!! I agree the absence of speakerphone is a drag, but not the end of the world. I would have liked an expandable memory but 128mb shared should suffice for most apps. I have used most menus and not had a single problem, I maybe just lucky. But one thing is for sure, it's one sexy phone!!

Have had this phone since the day it came out in Sydney Australia. Frist one I had bought I had problems with text not coming up in menues. So I now have a second one of it that was exchanged. It has happened on the one I have at the moment, but only happened twice, and hasn't happened since. The battery seems ok. I can go without charging it for a day, but thats about it. It does mull-function sometimes, just for example, I have always have activated my PIN on my phones, but for some reason, sometimes it is not activated. Not the most secure thing for a phone, but it has only happened once. If you are thinking about purchasing this phone, you would only be using this phone to txt and make calls. It is extremely stylish and very very sexy, and that is the only reason I chose it. I am not one for features of phones example, camera and mp3 as personally, I prefer to use specialised equipment for those. For example, for an organiser to have a PDA, mp3 to have for example iPod etc. But if you are just looking for style, then, this is the phone to get!!!!!! I haven't had any problems with the touch pad, its been great. But there are many disadvantages to this phone if your looking for features. predictive text is useless and photo id for incoming call is also useless and there are set dimensions for it (extremely small!!!) But if your not too particular about certain features and your just after a small/slim and sexy phone, then this is it.

Hope this has helped.

I've had this phone for nearly three weeks. I love it to bits BUT I have some issues with it.

Does email on this phone work?? My email option is mysteriously missing! Sometimes the option will appear but it will be inaccesable. Then it will disapear after a while. Anyone else have a similar experience?

First of all the predictive text mode sucks. It works well enough, but it does not auto capitalise words when you start a new sentence. Secondly you can't view photos that you upload onto your phone in the photo album! Thirdly you can't upload custom pictures to be used as Photo IDs. Yeah, same resolution, color depth and even replacing an existing photo did not help.

There are some more issue, but the phone is great. I just wish that I could get this email thing to work ... BUT I suspect that it was disabled for my country (South Africa). I emailed LG South Africa, and they claim the phone does not have an email client.

Bought this phone few days ago. Found the battery doesn't work as claimed on papers and also the selected ringtone is not functioning after activated for the General and Loud. The same ringtone keeps coming on and on. After power on and off the phone, the selected ringtone functions for few seconds and went back to the same ringtone..

I bought this phone 3 weeks ago. Still fiddling around with the functions. I was wondering if anyone could help me.
1) Can I increase the volume of sms coming in? can i choose a ringtone rather than the ones listed for 'message receiving' in the phone?
2)How do i key in 'Reminders' (to set an alarm with tone for the reminders)?

Yeah, I do agree that the battery life is pretty weak. I charged my phone last nite and it went flat by noon today. And I didnt even use it at all today. Very disappointing. But other than that, its a really sleek phone.

can someone tell me what the slide is like on this phone?
i prefer it when the phone kinda snaps open.. like with the samsung d600 and e800. i'm not so keen on when they're stiff to open.

Does anybody know how to "decorate" your pictures?!

I mean to put, for instance hearts, into the taken picture of a girlfriend...
