you can use your fingernails since it is resistive unlike capacitive phones. you may also try the handwriting recognition or use the stylus :)

The only drawback for me is that I have big hands and its a challenge to key-in or type the letters when messaging. Something that I have to get used to. For its price, this is a good deal =)

guys the phone does support 3G.you can use videos calling with it but you need to make sure your phone is configured for you to use the service via the 3G connection and another thing is, not every place is covered by 3G.most places only has 2G which provides you the gprs services or mostly if your on the metro, you can get edge gprs...besides, when you said you are trying to use 3G, what were you trying to do?connect to the net?it only has little diff in terms of speed with gprs and its costly.the phone has wi-fi.try using its instead for surfing the net.

dorei, 31 Jul 2010hi guys, when i was deciding if i would buy this phone, i was searching the net and failed to ... moreabout you using the youtube via gprs.the reason for that is bec the gprs or even the edge gprs bandwidth can't support websites with such big files.gprs bandwidth is only good for surfing.

The Wifi of LG has an idle timeout of 300secs.. it will disconnect if no use.. does anyone experience this kind of issue? My Blackberry has no timeout.

Been using this phone for a month, and i don't regret buying it. The music player is easy to use, you have an option to create your own play list, browsing through songs is fast, also lets you search by their first letter, and it also have a create a ring tone application. The music quality is great even when using the loudspeaker. Touch screen is responsive, but not comparable to a capacitive touchscreen phones. During texting, you'll sometimes hit the wrong letter, due to its small screen and cramped keyboard. Another good thing is the multitasking. The camera has minimal feature, and lacks flash. Image quality is poor even in good lighting condition. But the picture editor provides you with extensive options. Web browsing is only good for facebook or any other social networks, it can be a bit sluggish especially when visiting other sites. You cannot change the theme, but can change the wallpaper in the home screen. Battery will only last a day, in my experience, especially when your frequently using the music player. The other thing is its stylus is not attached to the phone, but you won't usually need it. The good thing about this phone is that it has the same feature that other smartphones have, and for a cheap price. It is user friendly, has a document viewer, messaging and calling is great, and also there are cool built-in applications and also allows you to add more. If your planning buying a touch screen phone within a minimum budget, then this phone is ideal for you, it does have its pros and cons, but that's what to expect in a price of P8000.
