What can i say for we old folk with less than perfect vision i find the big screen and the large font great, even better than the Razor i used before the LG. Have not had any issues yet with either battery or the unit turning off by itself.

Have had this phone since Boxing Day 2008, and can't wait to swap it for a new one. I bought it as I thought that touchscreens are the way forward, and the price of this phone seemed too good to be true. I will never buy an LG phone again, and it will be a long time before I ever consider a touch screen again. I spend half of my time wishing I hadn't sold my old Sony-Ericsson K750i, cos I would have swapped back to it again.
What can I say?:
The touchscreen could be a nice feature, but in reality it makes texting very slow, selecting small buttons on the screen irritating, is difficult to see in the sun without turning the brightness up to the top (see next point), and prevents anyone else using your phone unless they are familiar with the LG touch interface (how would anyone know which buttons to press to make a 999 call, for example).
The battery life is appaling, lasting a fraction of my old SE K750i, and the battery meter makes matters even worse - it stays on 3/3 bars ages, then drops very quickly to 1/3 bars and then empty. Sometimes it even seems to miss out 2/3 bars. Battery life is not helped by Bluetooth that switches itself on, but not off again when you send a file, and using the screen at a brightness that is just about readable in the sun also drains the battery. When the battery is low, the phone makes an annoying, embarrasing beeping alert (every minute I think) until you turn the phone off or charge it. There seems to be no way to turn this alert off, so I have had the phone beeping in class, or waking me up at night, even when it is on silent.
I have also had the phone freeze with a blue screen a few days after buying it. I often find it has turned itself off, and it takes an age to turn it on.
The good things:
Games are good for a laugh (but you will get bored of them soon, and manydownloadable games can't be played because of the lack of a proper keypad)
Camera quality very good (although no flash light)
Touch screen nice to use for some features
PC sync is quick and easy to use
The phone can read PDF, Word and PowerPoint files, which may be useful occasionally.
The large screen it good for watching videos and photos (although not in bright sunlight)
Overall, I would rather spend £100 on many other phones, such as the Nokia 6303 which a relative got recently, or another Sony-Ericsson. Don't buy this thinking that the touch screen will somehow make the phone better than all the others costing the same money or less.

Yesterday, I was able to witnessed the greatness of the camera and video of my LG Cookie. I haven't really got hold of that particular function until it was fully tested yesterday when my freinds and I went to the local mall which has an outdoor garden. My friends was also impressed and is dying of envy and thought that it was a 8 megapixel camera when they saw the picture quality. I cannot believe it with my own eyes! It really looks like it was taken using an 8 mega pixel camera!
And after that I decided to take a video with my friends. It was like you are using a digital video camera! it was like in HD! I am so loving this phone!
2 of my Friends actually planned to purcahse this beauty!
I would not trade this to an Iphone I swear!
