good phone,though no wifi,3g etc.solid built,very light,slim size,good sound -the jazz preset is the best,earphone good but in noisy places...
with a touch u can go to a specific part of a track or movie,-non touchscreen phone u have to keep forwarding which is very annoying for long tracks or videos.the battery for the first days last shortly but more u charge it ,more it last longer.a good phone for its price with its wonderful display(brighter than some of its high end rivals...)camera not bad,i like the picture editor lots of effects/options

Anonymous, 02 Jun 2009i just got this phone and my friend set an alarm for the whole 3 months i am off for summer fo... morego to alarm settings, then touch OFF, or touch the the time indicating the alarm and edit there. you can change the days you like the alarm will ring only

Is there a way to turn off the camera shutter sound? Because I read that you cannot even turn it off in the silent mode, which I find ridiculous, as I like to take a lot of discrete photos.

Ann, 01 Jun 2009Hi everyone. I'm seventeen years old and as far, believe it or not, I haven't had any mobiles ... moredear ann,
i'm 16 and i got my first phone last week.
so it is nothing unusual but i got samsung s5230
it is a dream to me.
with both the phones costing the same.the additional features in samsung s5230 are a delight and as for the battery life mine stays alive for 2.4 days straight with average usage(calls and a bit of music).
please forgive me for my english ;)

Hi everyone. I'm seventeen years old and as far, believe it or not, I haven't had any mobiles yet. Now I've decided to buy one with touchscreen but I don't know which one would suit me. I'm thinking over this and a former one, the LG KS20. The latter has "Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional" but I really don't have a clue what it means and how I'd use it. I'm going to travel 30 hours so I need a phone that is able to entertain a teenager. Which one do you think I'd purchase? Oh, and I'm not gonna buy any other phones for about a million years so it really should not go outta fashion for a while.... And my last question's that both mobiles have Word, Excel, and PowerPoint but can I use them as I use them in a computer? I mean, for example can I write essays and formulations?

This phone has a serious problem ..
when you are in "ring & vibrate" mode and receiving any call, there is no way to silence the phone with a single key.. you need to press the volume key few times to lower the ringing volume but that process still leaves the vibrator on.

Dude, 30 May 2009This phone sucks! Didn't even last for 1 month!hmm, well well, did you take really good care with it? like dont press to hard on the touch screen? kept it in a case/cover? if in a handbag/skool bag dont drop or anything did you lightly place it down? see its a new phone, you have to take extra good care of it.
