DaMan, 13 Jan 2009I had my cookie upgraded already by the LG service center but sad to say, it restarted again..... moredid the reboot erased all messages and contacts stored in your phone or just a simple restart? from what country are you from?
i have same problem like u guys my phone keep restarting and booting from time to time ..
what i do is ... try to your phone to go phone setting >memeory manger >.handset common memory then clear all as well as the user memory and system memory. make sure to back it first ur phone book.
handset reserved memory > clear all also
try to reset setting say yes
and then turn off your phone and turn it on and tadah it will look okey
it worth trying just make it sure u save the necessary phone book and messages before trying this .. so far my phone never restart .
now if u gonna copy the backup phone book using LG suite make it sure to uncheck the content data .. just restore the phonebook, memo, calendar etc. okey.

hhhmmmm, so far no reboot/restart 4days already. hope LG will release their software upgrade thru their website so everybody can do it at home. lucky me coz im near pasig.

i like this phone very much and very happy with it...hope they can fix these problems asap...
.....I noticed when the phone restarts by itself or i manually restart it, to retain my personal settings, i just choose the exit button when the start up message/phone guide wizard appears.

In my case, whenever my sum sim is inserted into my LG, it shuts down from time to time. This doesnt happen anymore now since I am using my globe sim for my LG and my sun for SE k850i.

i just got mine upgraded earlier this afternoon... it was soooo far away from our place plus the traffik... i also experienced sim card failure unfortunately... im beginning to hate this fone.
Is the firmware upgrade available , can we do it on our own coz I am in India ( and i got this phone from UK)

i love LG cookie, affordable and i user friendly, i did not experience any problem w/ this phone! cool!!! i recommend this to everyone. :P

Rome, Hong Kong, Manila, Singapore and so on.
and Because we use exclusive software, softwares for korea won't fit to your phone.
and LG Korea do not have any plans to release cookie in korea.

and also the theme, impossible to change by any means? heheheh...haking or changing of sys file(read from a post)

go to an authorized LG service center and upgrade your software.
For those who experience random restarts due to sim card failure, change your sim.
Tried, tested and guaranteed. If symptoms persist, insult your proctor. hehehe!
