am planning to buy this phone. but i think it got lots of bugs. i mean problems. i have my sony ericsson t700 for just i think a month or two and since i bought it it got software problems. i've been experiencing the same thing. it blacks out. turn itself off. then once i experienced the phone not to open at all. then i do all the reset stuffs. then,thankful it opened. but i really got disappointed with sony ericsson. i'm having my w810i for about almost 5 years already and i never did experience any of these problems. i was really not expecting that this will happen to my almost two months-old sony ericsson t700 for i never encountered such on my walkman phone w810i until now which runs for almost 5 yrs.well, i guess every phone has its downfall. afterall, no phone is made to be perfect.

I Have my LG cookie now for about a week. Touchscreen reacts very good. No reset/shutdown problems so far.
positive:
- sound is good
- touchscreen is good and allows for fun handling
- screen quality is good with clears colours
- very light and the size is just right
- price is very good. I paid 140 € on E-bay. don't expect a full smart phone for this price
- Camera is good although I haven't used it very much
negative:
- in contact list the phone numbers are not shown and the font is large so you get only a limited amount. scrolling here is very sensitive
- you need to get used to the screen locking all the time but you can't get around this
- data transmission is very slow over the USB cable
- haven't been able to play .avi movies yet

As I read the opinions here, I can say that my cookie is the worst of all (turns-off automatically almost 4 times a day and resets to its default setting at least twice a day)
So far, I still stick to my sony ericsson k850i cybershot as my primary phone (globe sim) and for me its still the best performing phone in terms of functionality. (awesome cam, astounding sounds, etc)
I only use my cookie as my secondary phone for my sun sim (which most of the time, I only use for calling)
I saved all the contacts and important messages to its sim memory so it wont be affected by the reboot.
For some time, I already got used to its sickness. (I got this fone last dec 26 and its been rebooting and resetting since then) But like all of us, I still want to get what I paid for so Im still hoping and searching for a solution and I know ranting isn't goin to help. Ü And aside from its rebooting problem, I still believe that this fone is one of the best.

Azgauth, 05 Jan 2009some users here have the same firmware (v10c) and yet they do not experience reset or reboot w... morewell the point is, we have released money for this cookie, 10k is 10k my friend. waste of time, i guess we should stick to Sony Ericsson, Nokia or Samsung. LG means what? Life's Good? or LuGe?
LG is the only brand that i encountered minor reboots and twice reseting to its default setting as of Dec. 19 upto now. this thing never happens to SE, Nokia or Samsung :(

cookie, 05 Jan 2009i called last week the LG phils in pasig city, they dont have software upgrade yet coz they ar... moresome users here have the same firmware (v10c) and yet they do not experience reset or reboot whatsoever so I guess its still worth the try. Maybe reinstalling the same (non-defective type of) firmware might solve the problem.

i called last week the LG phils in pasig city, they dont have software upgrade yet coz they are still coordinating with LG korea. all they can do is to reset the program of our cookie. i guess its not the answer to our problems (rebooting, returning to default setting, etc.) so at this time, its a waste of gasoline and money if wre going to LG pasig city... we have to wait for the firmware upgrade before going to LG pasig.... (LG)LuGe!

i bought lg cookie a few week ago n i like it very much . but it is easily to hang . tht is a big problem for me. when it was hanging , i had to take out the battery. i like all its functions n fulltech.

hi yesterday i was bought lg cookie the phone is really excelent i was gone to bay a nokia phone then i seen a lg cookies big 3 inches screen fulltech screen that is realy worth i was waried about batter now the battery is also reallyb good

got my unit brand new, it went into a reset several times already, and one time when the battery was drained it made a buzzing sound i have to take off the batteries to make it stop, and one time i found my phone was off when i turn it on it went into a reset, but so far no major problems,

Azgauth, 04 Jan 2009you are veeeerrryyyyy lucky. The chances of getting a n0n-rebooting cookie is 1:8I honestly can't relate to all your problems, I bought mine in cebu city at 12,600, I never had ant problems with rebooting and static. Its a nice phone.

Me and a friend of mine (who happens to own the same kind of phone and experiences the same problem...) plans to go to an LG service center this coming week to check if there's still hope left on our poor performing handsets. hehehe! I'll keep you posted guys about any updates.
Anyway, if anyone here who used to have the rebooting LG but managed to fix it by themselves, kindly share us the trick and God will bless you and your family.
