my fone often reboots itself too. It says "sim card removed. pls insert simcard and turn on fone" for a while, it only reboots but the settings stay. just a while ago, it rebooted again and returned to its default setting erasing all messages and contacts saved to in the fone memory. I believe this is only a firmware defect. mine is _v10c but ive heard somewhere that there is already _v10e. I have it for 3 days now.
just wanna ask WHERE CAN I GET OR DOWNLOAD THE LATEST FIRMWARE SO I CAN INSTALL IT TO MY FONE?

Here is my official review and POV for the LG KP500. Read this to understand before you buy the phone. :)
The LG cookie took me by surprise when I first touched it. The plastic case was hard and it did not feel like plastic at all. To be honest, I dropped it the next day by accident and it didn't have a SINGLE damage. And yeah, I saw it bounce. haha. Anyway, in the box, there is a CD-ROM, a USB, the Phone, Charger, a Manual and earpiece.
External memory is great. I mean, you can upgrade until 8gb. But I bought the 4gb, and I filled it up. To my shock it only used 1/8 of the memory. Yeah, the phone doesn't use much so I was pleased I didn't pool much money for the 8gb.
The earpiece works brilliantly! I have never felt such a comfortable piece since the Treo earpieces. :D If you like music loud, the speakers of the phone are clear and crisp. You can change the EQ too, which is nice since some songs sound really weird. haha.
The battery has good performance. It lasts with me for two days even with heavy usage. I love tinkering with the phone since it's screen is very responsive. The usual annoyance for people is that it locks itself. Don't worry, you can fix that in the settings.
The stylus is pretty small which can very much irritate those with big hands. But it'd good for me.
The phone also comes with an LCD protector film. But it does not affect the sensitivity of the screen. It says though in the manual that it affects it. SO if you take the film off, it would be higly-sensitive. I don't recommend it, though since I haven't tested if the screen is vulnerable to scratches. I do know, however, that the screen itself is not a finger-print magnet. The film protector is, though.
The camera is really weak. I actually don't use it much since it's poor compared to my old phones, and they CLAIM it's 3mp. What I love about the camera is that it's fully customizable. It's fun and you can draw on your pics.
People compare it a LOT to the iPhone, but DON'T. I have the iPhone too, and to be honest, I really like using the Cookie better. The iPhone is slow, and sometimes it lags. Also, you can't really do much since it does not come with games. The song thing is pretty good, though. I have the 160gb version.
Speaking of games, you would love the games here. It's very nice since it works a lot like the DS. It uses a lot of functions like shaking the phone, the touch screen blah blah.

1.It charges through USB. It's great! Such a pleasant surprise.
2. The LCD is quite responsive.
3. Games are the best, and you can download too.
4. It reads files.Except, my PDF files didn't work.
5. The drawing tool.
6. Thin and sexy exterior. Perfect for guys and girls too. :)
7. Screen is bright and dazzling.
8. YOU WOULD LOVE IT. The list is too long for me to continue.

4. Protective film is a finger print magnet.
5. Stylus is small, but it's okay since it's not used much unless you go OWERTY mode.

IN ADDITION:
The phone managed to read my PDF files (aka, ebooks), and it's easy to read but it will strain your eyes especially if the font is complicated.
The KP500's Active UI managed to get me pissed yet again. The QWERTY (or QWERTZ in the fone) is slow like the Gallery. Sometimes you have to press the lock key to make it work, but thats only a minor problem.
One major problem is that my phone rebooted itself once. I think its because of the usuage. The phone heats itself especially if you are multitasking on the phone. But that was only once. Please, if your phone reboots itself more than once a week, get it checked.

i got this phone for about 2 days..
so far it REBOOTED 2 times already... moreso far my phone has only rebooted for once. I think yours has a problem... Go and get one in replacement.
@brix: Dude, you can get yours at Cyberzone. It's 11,900 php. But go to Topwin and ask for a 11,500 php model. At least, that's what I did. It's a matter of haggling.

also it does come with headphones to play the music it has loud speakers without the headphones also.

I got mine just yesterday and can't leave it for a second, I always want to feel it in my hand, it's so addictive! :)
I can't see any disadvantiges, the camera quality at night only, great software for PC, great screen, great music and video player, absolutely amazing games, good enough battery life. Working with stilus is like a charm! Go and get one!

Hy everyone!I bought this phone today, i have been playing with it for 5 hours and i can say this is the best possible phone i its price range. Touch screen works better then htc diamond, its has features like the ipod, and its fun to use. Go get it!!!
