If your phone is unlocked then you might have to contact your service provider for the network settings. I hope this helps.

Anonymous, 19 Jan 2011Is this phone at&t compatible? Anyone know?This phone is AT&T compatible. I have been using it for about 9months now. The only thing is you need to make sure it is unlocked so you can input the right network setting for texting. I called AT&T to get help with Network info. I hope this helps.

As in the spec no WLAN hence no WIFI. You need to connect through phone company for browsing

Its a value for money phone and very easy to use. some people who criticise about it should consider the price.we shouldnt expect a high end phone in this price range.

I am using this for 5 months. Smart phone indeed.
Pros:
1. Attractive widgets.
2. Multitasking is possible.
3. Very good photo and video editor.
4. Excellent sound quality over headphone.
5. Videos run smoothly with higher bit rates.
6. Piscel document viewer.
7. Built-in Scientific calculator.
8. Lightweight.
Cons:
1. Energy consumption is high.
2. Fixed focus camera.
3. Limited space for Java applications.
4. Loud speaker is not good.
5. No support for Fring or Skype and no VOIP support in Nimbuzz.
6. Youtube is visible only on Bolt browser, Opera mini does not support it.

some of the advantages of lg cookie over samsung star:
1-it has a stylus in its body.
2-it has 3d home screen.
3-it has handwriting recognition.
4-it has very better app support.I mean many applications that are installable on cookie cant be installed on star.
5-in the menues there is a back botton on the screen of cookie while in star you have to return to the previous menu by pressing the back key on the phone.
6-cookie is somewhat cheaper than star.
8-multi tasking is available in cookie and not star.
9-cookie can support videos in higher bitrate and fram rates.
also there are some other advantages for cookie over sam star that I skip them.
