~Yes, it has a slide show, you can adjust speed for pictures to change.
~Yes, you can input addresses in yor contacts
~As the previous post, yes you can make your own folders
~It does sync with MS Outlook and Outlook Express(Contacts), and with MS Outlook Calendars, To Do,Memo.(Well, i've never tried, but lg pc suite which came in phone's cd shows you can do it :) )
~yes, you can make and name your folders.
~voice recorder records sound in .amr format
~well...i assume that it supports TV out, becouse in phone settings inside connectivity you can choose between PAL and NTSC, but i tried google'ing and found no tv out cable for sale?
~Phonebook can store up to 500 contacts.
~Yes, you can save and view PDF files, it's just that you can't jump into page(let's say if you have 94 pages and want to go straight to 63), you have to use left or right arrows to reach page you need. And yoy need to zoom in at least a few times to have your pdf readable.
Great phone. Beautiful design and great interface - the best touch screen I've ever seen on a phone.
As far as rivals go, other 5Mp camera phones include:
- Sony Ericsson K850i: Powerful, great camera and offensively HIDEOUS.
- Nokia N95: Once you buy this phone you'll realize its made by Nokia. Also an eyesore.
When compared to the iPhone, the camera is superior and it features 3G. Consider choosing the iPhone over the LG once you have met somebody who has owned an iPod and never had a problem with it.
this phone seems very good on first inspection, however some questions:
1. does it have a slide viewer like the se 850 and the nokia n95?
2. can you input adresses etc in contacts?
3. can you make additional folders other than the default ones?
4. does it sync with outlook etc as well as the se and nokia's.
thats it for now.
this phone looks nice...but two things really big its lacking are....it is not quad band and doesnt have wifi...if it had those two things...id get it right away
Heres a cool site for wallpapers, ringtones etc for your LG Viewty and u can have 30 downloads per day
Ihave been reading this column since its page 1 to till date but anyone is not answering one question even after so many people have now bought it.
What type of softwares (.sis/ .nth/.jad/ .jar etc. )is compatible with this phone. This can be checked by people who have phone in their hands. Go to applications already installed in the phone and check for the details it will definitely show the type of software it is compatible with. Please let me know as I also want to buy this beauty when it comes out in India. Thanks
Can anyone please tell me what is the phone book capacity ( maximum numbers that can be stored ) and also can we see pdf files on this phone. Thanks
i called ephone the other day and they told me by monday, dec 3, its available. you can call them at 6716478, 6716402 just to make sure. ure from philippines right?
@hapi, Are you sure they will release it this coming week? hmmm im excited! my w850i feels like a relic already. I need to buy this phone hehehe so i could look like Hyung from Coffee Prince.
Oh! and please dont ask me about TV Out. and just to add on to battery life, I charged it full last night, and till now, i still have 3 bars left (out of a possible 4) so i think it really depends on how frequently you use the device
Just got my phone yesterday and I must say it's a wicked piece of technology. The first time you put it in your hand and you will be amazed at how well it's made.
When testing the phone, I purposely tried to test out all the problems most users were having, such as battery life, call quality, laggy touchscreen, etc. and I must say that most of those problems could not be found on my device. I am not sure if it has anything to do with my phone being unlocked. IT seems like most people's phone are locked to companies such as T-Mobile, O2, 3, and companies like that, where they install their own programs, and making the phone completely different from the reviews.
If anyone has any questions, I'll try and answer, but I am still trying to test out everything, such as camera, video/music playback, and still getting used to the handling of the phone.
