I've had the D415 T-Mobile version since June. Really good phone. Excellent display, and even better battery life. An LED notification for charged battery and lights behind the capacitive buttons would have been nice touches, but all together a great purchase. Nice job, LG. Alcatel and ZTE should live long enough to be this good.

Android27, 15 Dec 2015This is an excellent guide if you're looking to switch back to stock ROM http://forum.xda-dev... moreThe problem is that I can't find v10a/b/c-EUR-XX kdz file anywhere in the world. Even if u manage to find original rom it will only address the latest stock rom in kdz format. I think LG has deliberately deleted the file from system on Internet so u can't downgrade. Yes there is Poland kitkat CIS kitkat etc but that is not what I'm looking for: it should be for northen Europe

This is an excellent guide if you're looking to switch back to stock ROM
          http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-l90/general/guide-flash-stock-kdz-offline-lg-l90-t2803479

The process involves making use of a utility called, 'LG Flash Tool' which is analogous to imaging software in desktop world. What it essentially does is, it 'flashes' or writes the factory shipped image of the stock ROM to your device. All you'd then need is the image itself, which is referred to as the 'KDZ' file in LG terminology.

Simply download the stock image for your device by entering the IMEI number and follow the rest of the instructions to bring back your device to its Kitkat glory.

Or...skip it all together and save your time. I don't think you'd be needing this so badly, now that you've already got yourself an iphone. But still, if you wish to get back to Kitkat then this is the only way. Others involve flashing a Kitkat based custom ROM, which, I doubt, is what you're looking for.

When it comes to lg phones they are good because they don't use that much bloatware or sidekick services in comparison to Samsung phones. They just suck big time. For one Samsung app u have about 5-6 sidekick service apps so they fuel and make it work the main app which is just crazy. Lg doesn't have that. Lg apps works by them selfs without using extra created services. Lg uses googles own system as service or sidekick app so the main app can work. That's the difference between lg and Samsung apps. Example sasmungs own App Store uses additional 8 other app services just so the whole concept can work at all. Like billing, then some app synchronization which is stand alone app aka service app, then many many other additional service apps. That is way to crazy. Those additional side services uses phone resources so it doesn't matter if u have 8gb ram phone from Samsung. It will use 80% of phones resources. Motorola doesn't have that either. For Sony I don't know but I assume they have also some kind of service apps as sidekicks.

Android27, 11 Dec 2015I think I recall you mentioning about buying a new phone. Maybe it was Zenfone or something si... moreI bought new iPhone 6s Plus. I'm just sick of android fragmentation. I watched carefully what was out there. First I was interested in nexus line phones but this time I waited for reviews and it's not good enough. Soc sd810 and 808 are not satisfied. Maybe 808 is better but then again throttling effect I can't handle. To much stuff u need to do by your self because oems doesn't do good job from the start. I'm using lg l90 as my back up phone but I want to downgrade to kitkat which is impossible by time being. Using lg l90 as micro pc/chromecast device seems like pretty good idea. But for that I need kitkat which doesn't slow down performance on this device. Since I bought new iPhone I already had 3-4 major updates in a 2 months period. Now that marshmallow is out there is already new update out there 6.0.1 which will take forever for some oems to release. That I can't handle because by the time they upgrade Google will release 6.1 or 6.1.1. So I've calculated the cost. It's the same amount of money. Me changing phones every year or buy iPhone 6 and change in 3 years period or even later. I'm sorry to say this but I will not go back to android cause of many different factors, throttling/backlight sacrifice, update fragmentation, and not optimal upgrade performance by oem. Maybe I will go back to android when Google releases pixel phone manufactured by them selfs.

Maybe it was Zenfone or something similar, but I see that you are still using it. As a backup, I presume ?

And I don't think there will be any updates. Though the latest version is 5.0.2, I expected them to at least update it to the final and most stable version 5.1.1.

it is true about battery and performance, i recharge my L90 almost once in a week, and i do 5-7 phone calls per day, i read news on internet via 3g also using facebook every day, and i play 40min temple rush every day in subway train in my transition at work-home, so its true

I had new settings for days now and wow its fast. High temperature prop off disabled and mitigation off disabled which is enabled by default from lg. Its fast. Battery is not warm but it is only while charging and playing games at the same time. Even playing game alone doesnt make it warm when mitigation is disabled. Now to question why is lg makeing it slower. Thats why kitkat was so fast on this device. If you want kitkat snappy just disable both mitigation and high temperature prop. For gaming go to developers mode and use mxa 4 aaaa or what is called. Phone can handle it because its krait!
