Avoid like the plague - and I would argue other Nexus models too. Google "Nexus 4 shutting off" and you will see hundreds/thousand of customers whose phones are unusable as they constantly shut down despite high levels of battery. Completely unpredictable. Google and Nexus have failed to even reply on the issues let alone fix them. Completely unreliable and a shocking product from two supposedly reliable companies. I would not trust a goodle /LG product to fulfil even basic functionality - I.e. staying on!
Nexus lover, 09 Jul 2015How do you gus still use a phone that was made 4 years ago?I hate such comments. First of all, the nexus 4 isn't even 3 years old. And second, if the phone works as it should even after so many years, why would you buy a new one? I know the reason. Just for the sake of having a new phone. The thing is, phones haven't changed much in the last 2 or 3 years, and the phone we are talking about here is a Nexus, the king of software fluidity in the android world. And even talking about hardware, you can play every game there is on the Play store even after 3 years.
fell of my hands 10 cm drop, digitalizer is cracked and cant use it, only 20% of the screen i can, is there any way to use the phone without changing the screen, like 4 example use a mouse?
Ramesh, 26 Jun 2015It is a very good phone. I am using it more than 2 years. No issues at all. Yup. Same here. Using this phone from the past 2 and half years without a single problem and still the best out there. Hands down the best nexus till date.
NEXUS IS THE BEST ALL OVER THE WORLD
i have nexus 4 and my friend have nexus 3
and i will keep nexus 4 in my house as second phone and i will buy nexus 6
but i wish they not release nexus 7 or i will be upset down for this
Friends plz help me to find out how barometer works on nexus4? Through gsm arena I found that it has Barometer, what's the func of this and how to find that???
Truly the masterpiece of its era and still competing with the new models. It was so advanced that companies like samsung has now started providing wireless charging (dock charging), which was already there in this phone when it was released in 2011. The design of this phone still amazes me with clear black display and fits in my perfectly. Truly the best and im loving it with lolipop OS.
It is a very good phone. I am using it more than 2 years. No issues at all.
It is funny where I am the Nexus 4 is more expensive than Nexus 5. I guess because it is more difficult to find new compared to N5
What a Great piece of Creation.it has more value than selling price.Still itz features undefeatable.I remember i commented before on first days when i had My nexus was correct.I couldn't believe that how it was successfully working until today it is still working like i am using the fone for the first day in my life.i'm really say Thanks For the Nexus 4 Brand
It has no problems,I'm using it for calling And texting.Friends ask me why are u not taking the maximus use of it.The truth he has gone to his 3rd new phone by 2 1/2 years.but i'm using this phone when he haa brought the 3rd one.I'm proud to be a Nexus user.Thank u nexus.Still My OS is up to date,Now running 5.1.1,The phone is not showing any single trouble to me.May be itz body is old,But still it wins from the newly manufacturing phones.i think this has really built for the life time for the user.
The phone is fast as hell even after two and a half years of use thanks to the 2 GB RAM and the processor. but storage is a bit of an issue now as the phone has only built in storage of 16GB and no slot for memory card and does not support OTG. The battery life is not good from the starting only. Now if I make approx 2.5 hours of calls and keep the phone running on 3G network all the time it lasts for about 8 hours and thats about it.
I think there is some issues with the device I am using or not the device does not support all the chargers and specially those car chargers.
All in all if you can still find this device on sale its a good buy for its price.
I've had the Nexus 4 for probably a couple of years now, and it's pretty good. It really depends what you are looking for in a phone.
- Fast (for its time)
- Hardy (I've never broke screen - friend has 3 times in last few months.. so who knows).
- Camera is terrible (The actual specs are fine - but however the hardware is interfacing with the software is terrible. Flash barely works, etc)
- Occasionally crashes with current Android releases.
