It is not as fragile as most people say. I've dropped it multiple times from 45cm or so and it hasn't broken and has no flaws in it's hardware or software. It depends on your lock, and how it falls down. I've got the newest version of android and there are no sudden shutdowns or restarts, and the battery is great. Honestly an awesome phone, I suggest you check it out
Anonymous, 24 Jan 2015Had Nexus 4 for 18 months and best phone I ever had by miles. Now since latest updates annoyin... morei have the same situation it turns off and i turn it
on and before it can completely reboot it cuts off
Don't upgrade the OS to Lollipop cause after that phone will hang and reboot abruptly.
Phones ok but very fragile, knocked it off 45cm coffee table onto slate floor and cracked the digitiser...$150 later.
Had Nexus 4 for 18 months and best phone I ever had by miles. Now since latest updates annoyingly shuts itself down randomly, which makes me consider a new phone. But nothing much out there appeals so hope they fix the bugs and I get another year of use. For the low purchase price the key positives for me are the wireless charging, calendar feature which Apple doesn't offer, size is just right, not too big not too small, responsiveness & performance still very good, battery life decent. New Nexus 5 & 6 are larger and that is not so convenient for most people - this fits nicely in a pocket. Message is just fix the bugs, maybe make updates optional, or I must sadly look elsewhere....
Got it day before yesterday just for Rs.13000 on eBay.in + freebies for 2000(mobile case + scratch guard +powerbank)
Reasons for buying
# On time updates which Sony never does even for Sony z3 or z2.
# I heared positive reviews more than negative reviews(haters of nexus).
# it has been released in 2012 but has the features more than this genration of mobiles(most important software support)
# They said lollipop is not nice but I believe Google will release bug fixing updates soon
# I used mobile like moto x(good),moto g 2nd gen(nice),Sony xperia c3(very bad),Sony xperia sp(good but software support is waste),Samsung galaxy s4(poor its an heater),Samsung galaxy s5(best of all),iphone 5(too small and battery backup is no so good but performance and software support is excellent than galaxy s5),Sony xperia c(very good),samsung galaxy y(masterpiece)
In my two days use of Nexus 4
Software support 10/10
Internet speed 10/10
Over all better than every mobile I have used so far.10/10 I love it
For the price of Rs.13000 its definitely a masterpiece
Keep away from this phone. Have it for a year and a half now, since the lollipop software was installed is full of bugs! Already tried reseting it, still full of bugs: won't connect to mobile network, nor the blutooth and switches itself off. Google does not release any patches to resolve these problems. Awful! I'm extremely unhappy with this phone and these bugs are common with nexus users, not only nexus 4.
I've been using this phone for 2 years, an excellent phone from Google and LG. Everything is good until now. Battery is good because of Android 5.0 update. Dont hesitate to buy this phone... :)

Using this phone for last 2 months. Earlier it was fine but ever since I updated if to V 5.0, its battery gets drained VERY FAST when using 3G or Wifi. When internet is not on, it has fabulous battery life. Got an update of V 5.0.1 and expected it will solve the issue but of No use.. Without internet, it is fine but with 3G (mobile data) On or Wifi On, it s*cks.. Cant even stand for 12 hours on one full charge. Google Guys.. r u listening !!
