Awesome device. Still doing good for me but know lags a little bit on games with high graphics like Mortal Kombat X & I have no idea why does this happens as Nexus 4 is fully capable to handle such graphics smoothly..
Great phone -- when it works.
I have been plagued by issues with this phone. First of all the softkeys stopped working intermittently, and now the right hand side of my screen doesn't sense touches. The softkeys however have magically come back to life. I don't want to spend the $150 NZ to fix the digitizer because I have no confidence that the rest of the phone will remain functional.
TL;DR
Good on paper, disappointing IRL.
I really think I should get the Google Nexus 4! The only thing is that I just don't know how much app storage (internal storage) it has, and how much picture storage (external storage) it has.
My nexus 4 doesn't show notification light. Can anyone tell me what's the problem
It is one of the best phone ever used. Still in 2015 it doesnt lags or any issue. The only drawback now is camera and battery except its great!!!
Best phone according to my experience.
It has never disturbed in my 1 and half year experience
I also had red light problem
First connect a charger with phone.
Then press power and volume down button for aprx 30 sec.
A screen will appear.
Touch start button.
Now your problem is resolved.

Nexus 4 Lover, 08 Oct 2015Anyone knows how to get Marshmallow 6.0 for Nexus 6 unofficial?Nexus 6 unofficial for Nexus 4 (at your own risk)

Anyone knows how to get Marshmallow 6.0 for Nexus 6 unofficial?
I had this phone in 2013 Feb
it went very hot in my pocket for no reason.
when using skype it shut it self off for no reason every time i video call on skype.
shut it self off when playing 3D shooting games dead tigger. and also get's very hot when playing hardcore games.
was not happy with the phone.
but now you can get Moto E (2015) and Moto G (2015) same performance as nexus 4.
or if you from UK then get Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 £125 which is nearly same as LG G3 performance.
Very bad from Google phone having good specs (Quad Core CPU & 2 Gigs or RAM) no update for 6.0. Even new nexus 5x is having 2 Gigs of RAM. And on the other hand android one is getting update.
I think marshmallow will run smoothly if google provide update. We by only nexus to get the update. And know that is also failing even with good specs. Forcing consumer to buy new phone if they want to use new OS. Better to go with Android one at-least way cheaper then Nexus family phones.
Nexus 4 comes with update
Jelly Bean (4.1–4.3.1)
KitKat (4.4–4.4.4, 4.4W–4.4W.2)
Lollipop (5.0–5.1.1)
I regret purchasing this phone and has been a sour experience. Under 8 months of getting it, I've spent almost as much as I paid for it initially. Screen, OS problems, horribly dilapidated battery are the major issues. The camera is not half as good as the 8MP rating too.
yathi s, 01 Oct 2015hi when i updated it to 5.1.1 the battery drain very very fast wt to doo please guide me .I believe you'd have to get a new battery. The phone drains charge on normal operations but immediately after the lollipop upgrade, my battery life became zero (under a year of purchase!) I am getting a Lithium ion battery constructed for the phone else it is completely useless.
Can anyone advice me how to solve battery and heating problem? It's a lovely phone speed is aswome picture quality everything still working perfect.
Red light problem, doesn't turn on. I know it's not dead as when I changed the battery, changed the charging port, the phone was back to life but only for 24 hours or less at a time. Never charged it on the laptop. Did charge it from an extension plugged into the wall connected to an international outlet adaptor charger a few times. Running out of ideas and still paying my plan without having a back up phone, is a repair worth less the cost of the phone? What should I do?
hi
when i updated it to 5.1.1 the
battery drain very very fast wt to doo please guide me .
Anonymous, 15 Sep 2015I'm using N4 from last 2 yrs now and my experience is awesome, but when i updated it to 5.1.1 ... moreHello. I had the same question as you. I've been told it could be less about the new OS and more a question of a battery being exhausted after two years of use. I am looking for a repair shop that can guarantee an install of an authentic LG Nexus 4 battery. I think I should be good for another 2 years with this phone.
