hi all, i read lots of rumour nexus 6 might launching in end of October, i need a phone and the best option i have right now is nexus 5. not sure if i buy the nexus 5 now and few weeks later the new nexus 6 will be launched thus wasting money getting an older device. im living in malaysia and i need to get help my friend to ship the device from japan.. should i wait or just get the nexus 5?
Got this phone at the beginning of 2014 and it still works with no problems. A lot of the phones coming out right now are not even better than this, and it is almost a year old. My wish is that the next Nexus device has a 64 bit processor, QHD display, 3-4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage, and a removable battery. The removable battery part (along with expandable memory) is the only thing making me consider the Note 4 over this device (not to mention the nifty S-Pen)

Well I loved my Nexus 5 for the first couple of months, now it constantly reboots, drops WiFi and freezes. Google really needs to step their game up with their OS is so unstable.
I'm thinking I could get 1 of these, but I doubt the battery, because I like to do lots of web surfing, watching videos and listening to music. So has the battery became better after updates, because the review statets the browsing time very low.
AnonD-305995, 11 Sep 2014wich phone is better Nexus 5 or Sony xperia z1, the specs have both similar. tnx for answersN5 is definitely better

Hopefully android L will improve battery backup a bit but I'm not too optimistic as this is said with every new version of Android.
vizak, 16 Sep 2014i want to buy this mobile.nexus 5 is good or not? what are you thinking about nexus 5.i take y... moreI would definitely go for one.
Best phone I have ever bought buddy. Fast, good price, google have really done well on this one.
I recently buyed Nexus 5 after getting good reviews from the people already using this set for quite some time.My personal experience after using Nexus 5 says i went with the right choice.
I love this phone, but there are a few quirks that need addressing. The battery is not sufficient, at 2300 mAh, for the Snapdragon 800 2.3 GHz processor. I would say that I charge the device at least twice a day. Since I am not working at the moment, this is not a problem, but I would out of necessity have to get a different phone if I was. I suspect it is a few apps that are causing the massive battery drain... when the massive CPU kicks in it just sucks all the power out. I would say an 800 or 805 Snapdragon needs at a minimum a 2800 mAh battery.
I love the Nexus line, but my experience with this phone leads me to think only a Note 3 or 4 has the battery necessary to stay away from an outlet. A small caveat, I am using apps quite a bit, but I think that a smartphone is a smartphone, if I treated it as just a phone I may as well pay $50 for a feature phone.
Hope we hear something in next month or so really waiting for Next Nexus ,,better battery is a must plus 805 chipset, louder speaker but same quality. Not bothered about QHD display there is n point and slows phone and uses more battery.
Design of Nexus 5 is very good hope next one has good different eye catching design,,love the big camera lens on back and NEXUS written on it to distinguish it as Nexus device..

I set it to 2g, because mobile internet is just to update weather and download emails, I have great signal and excellet sound quality. If you realised this problem, why didn´t bring it back and asked for a replacement?
